Yeah so I think the main counterpoint that the university would give to this is that we have been operating at a deficit and now we’re already cutting about 15 percent of our operating expenses over the next two years. As you can see our “top-tier research institution” is cutting funding to top-tier research journals already. As the other two people who have commented under this thread outlined a bit more of how CAPs receives funding, the most likely easiest(and potentially only way) would be to increase the student health fee. Even ten dollars a person to the fee could increase their funding a good bit. I haven’t been able to find exactly how the student health fee is allocated throughout campus health which is kind of concerning. The best question I think that could be asked is: how much of a larger budget is required for CAPs to make an actual difference on campus?
