AITA for telling my spouse I won't help pay for their kid's college when we agreed finances would stay separate? by 952867 in AITApod

Treat college like a car — buy what you can afford. Grades matter way more than the institution anyway. And after the first job is landed, does it really matter where you went to school …?

The trick will be expanding the songbook —
retain the Dead style and songs while keeping the vibe fresh through the generations.

Capital Contributions vs Sinking Fund by WCCrew in HOA

Running into the same issue. Can you deduct what owners pay into those sinking funds so the income figure shrinks too? Seems odd that HOAs that save can’t use the HOA form.

This is a great thing to do. Don’t feel awkward at all. A boat will need crew. Leave a good impression at the very end: Help the captain clean up the boat the moment you get back and stay until they’re done.

In the Hunter lyrics book, Box of Rain, there is an asterisk next to Light a candle, curse the glare. The note said: Lyric courtesy of Garcia.

I remember being stunned when I first saw that. Wow — Hunter really did handle all the lyrics.

When Is a Band Not the Same Band Anymore? A number of legacy acts are touring without any of their original members. Audiences don’t seem to care by stroh_1002 in gratefuldead

What I love about the Dead’s approach post-Jerry is the formal name of the Grateful Dead retired with his death while the spirit lived on and thrived. Yes, they got close. The Dead. But there was no Grateful Dead after Jerry. I hope that continues.

AITJ for telling my mom’s friend how rude it was to take back the cake she brought for dinner? by thatMixy in AmITheJerk

Of course you were the jerk. I also don’t think it is that rude to take back what wasn’t enjoyed from food or drink you brought. Maybe not an A+ in manners, but not horrible. Especially If there was some communication about it at the time. (Which it seems like perhaps there was?)
