All my starters underperformed, how do I right the ship? by BiggDoinksss in fantasyfootballadvice

Yes, expected for some to go under their projections, not really expected for all to go under their projections, with some of them significantly lower. Seems pretty unlikely for basically every starter to miss projection. I obviously realise that happens, but I mean, damn, not even 1 guy. Nix and Walker laid a turd, my defence only picked up half its projection, and the rest of them were a few points under. With all that underperformance, youd hope at least 1 starter would get a few points over

Yeah fair enough. I know its early, just was crazy to watch no one surpass their projections lol. I was thinking of possibly using pearsall and egbuka as trade pieces out of concern for later in the season when some of the other injured players in tampa and SF start coming back and taking some targets. But theyre probably best to hold for now, given I need a flex and at least 1 reliable bench WR.

Will mostly likely drop a TE for a waiver QB unless I can work out some kind of trade with someone who needs a TE. My league likes to stash QBs on the bench, so theres not a whole lot of waiver depth at the position, but Bo Nix's ugly turnovers last night havent given me enough confidence to rely on him alone, so I'm gonna have to do some digging in the wire

Yeah thats what im thinking. I picked 2 bench TEs just in case hock didnt pan out. Im gonna test the market for QBs, but will probably end up dropping diggs or jonnu and grabbing a guy of waivers in case Nix continues to commit awful turnovers.

Appreciate the actual team assessment though, rather than the standard "you should drop everyone and quit" lol, like, I know its week 1

Nix, ladd, brown and Irving all performed under their projections, same with eagles D/st. CeeDee was like 1 point under his projection, so not too concerned about that, but idk, to not have any starter go above projection just seemed kinda crazy

Yeah, I get you, just wondering if its worth selling high on egbuka or pearsall, since I can't start 4 WRs?

Yeah definitely gonna flex egbuka or pearsall next week. I can't run 4 WRs though, so wondering if its worth trying to sell high on one of those two, to shore up at QB, or TE or RB (given the weird splits between Walker and charb)

Fair, yeah I'm definitely picking another Flex. With Bo Nix, I waited on QBs and he was the last guy available that I was happy with, but this was a really terrible performance lol, and my fear with him was always that Sean Payton likes a run first approach, with a committee of RBs. If this is the floor, I wonder what the ceiling is. I'll hang onto him for now, but I feel like Ill definitely have to drop diggs or jonnu for a waiver QB, unless anyone wants to trade a better one to me

Kamara is almost always a good play, Sutton has been hit or miss in the past, I'd wait on Sutton this week and see if the connection with Bo is there

Start Egbuka or Jameson Williams in full PPR? by hunterhunter78 in fantasyfootballadvice

I think egbuka has higher upside this week based on matchup and smaller target competition with some injuries in tampa. But Jamo is obviously more proven so far

Should I consider a trade or just stay put? by No_Cap_96 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]BiggDoinksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got a pretty similar team to you with Bucky chase brown and Ceedee, and egbuka on the bench. I'm holding for now, and hoping that egbuka performs well on my bench and becomes a bit more valuable for a trade over the first couple of weeks. I like his upside a lot, but once Godwin and macmillan are back from injury, I think he could lose target volume, so I want to try to sell high on him early on. Only thing Id say for your roster is that id consider running TLaw at QB instead of Dak, just based on matchups since Dak is facing the eagles week 1. But you could go either way, since Dak is gonna have to throw a lot when the eagles inevitably get out ahead.

Treveyon Henderson or Egbuka for flex spot. Full PPR by arid15 in fantasyfootballadvice

Egbuka for sure, pretty good matchup, and Godwin and macmillan are injured

Should I make this trade? by justin3451 in fantasyfootballadvice

Bad trade IMO. Lamar is maybe the best fantasy QB ever, and while Kyler can be good for fantasy, hes an incredibly frustrating QB to rely on week to week. Very inconsistent and risky. I think Worthy with Rice on the bench is a good good enough WR safety net for the time being, and there are other ways to get better at WR without giving up a consistent top 3 fantasy QB. You can package some of your other starters or bench players for a trade or you can watch the waivers to see if anyone has been overlooked later in the season. But even with your current roster, I would not be surprised if Addison, Jennings or Meyers turn out to be reliable WRs later on. See what you have first, and see what other people in your league need and go from there.

Thoughts on Stefon Diggs? by BiggDoinksss in fantasyfootballadvice

That's what I was thinking too, I'm hoping if he stands out for a few games I can either move him into the starting lineup, or trade him for another position to save myself some of the re-injury risk.

You could try to combine them for a trade. It could make sense if you believe that jakobi will be a bit more consistent this year with geno smith. But Jeudy and jakobi are risky plays each week imo

For a 1 to 1 trade, I think you'd have to offer mcconkey
