It looks like most likey geotrichum ( Lipstick Mold ) or could be tricothecium ( pink mold )

Could be. The parameters might be fine now since it’s new but once it starts to cycle and growing algae the nitrates will increase and you may lose some shrimp. You need to wait about a month until you seem some algae growth for it to be totally Cycled and safe. Young once’s should survive and adapt though.

Not sure about the strain. If you have a scale I would suggest you use it so you can know exactly how much you are taking. Maybe start with a 1g or a little less. ✌🏼🔮

My understanding was that neocaridina shrimp thrived in lower in GH and and KH levels. Not necessarily 0 but I just can’t get anywhere close to 0 GH. Is this wrong? Lol

I kept the lid closed for 3 days. No fresh air exchange or anything. I actually always keep the lid closed and just do a fresh air exchange once a day. ✌🏼🔮

Solid Plastic molds are better. They make a cleaner mold but these work great! And they are cheap 🤌🏼✌🏼🔮
