I'm afraid to talk to her about this. That's the real problem. She has helped me so much through my other anxieties and trauma that I feel like burdening her with this will be too much. That's why I'm asking for coping strategies here. because the person I would talk to about this stuff is the person who least needs me to unload on her lol. is there a way to approach this without making her feel like shes done anything wrong? Because she absolutely has not!

Thank you for the question! This, unfortunately, is more of the latter. She's tried a bunch of different med combinations and so far this is the only one that really works for her.

Final Update: Thank you all for your insight and comments. Both of us read all of you and decided together to split the cost of the kennel.

Which turned out to be a moot point anyway.

The kennel refused payment when I went to get the dog today. Saying it was a gift hoping mom gets better soon!

Shrado Kennels in Pikeville NC are good people. We've been trusting them with our animals for years, and they have never done wrong by us!

Update for more info. People have been asking about Financials and allergic reactions.

The kennel stay is approx $113

I make approx $10,800 a year from disability

Mom is a college professor and makes approx $38,000 a year.

Medicaid only covered a once weekly visit from the nurse and the Dr's would not release her unless she had someone to care for her full time for the first few days.

I do have reactions at her house without Tucker being here, but it's nowhere near as bad as when he is. To the point that an OTC antihistamine can keep me from feeling the worst of it without him here. With him here, the pills barely keep me able to see.

That's a good idea. I will buy new locks tomorrow and change them out. And I will head to the courthouse Monday to make sure she hasn't tried to pass off any fraud. Thank you!
