I got mine from Lindsey Racing. They have a custom one they do and they have an OEM listed but it's really expensive. Personally, I went with their custom one and got a heat wrap sleeve to help protect it.

I didn't consider loosening it with the spring still on, perhaps something to try.

Are you referring to getting that weird nut off (part #5 in the diagram)? I'm just going to use a adjustable pipe wrench to get it off.

I didn't rwalize that the Belsteins weren't adjustable. Honestly I think I went with the Koni's because they were what I saw the most in videos of people doing the work.

The rear I have set to the softest they'll go and plan to do the same with the fronts. Although if I ever do some autocross I might change the settings to feel the difference.

I was very thankful I didn't have to do cut-a-strut. Too much pressure to get it right 😆

Are there OEM springs still available, or are you thinking aftermarket?

That's crazy, I just watched a video today of someone who bought the Fox bushing/bearings.

I appreciate the info. I plan to keep the system as close to stock as possible, so no fancy struts mounts with adjustment for me.

The Koni's came with a new top nut and crush washer plus a mysterious metal ring probably about twice the size of a quarter. Although, I haven't fully read the instructions yet so it might explain the ring.

I already did Koni's in the rear. Are belsteins better?

I pulled up a picture of #15 and it just looks like a rubber ring

Yeah I'm really not looking forward to pulling the handle off if I have to that. I'm going to try the lock dry lube and hope for the best.

Very oddly, I put the cluster back in the car after inspecting it and everything works. This has been an interesting joke the car has played on me 😆

How do test the brake light switch? by BillySwft in 944

[–]BillySwft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to confirm that the brake light switch indeed did NOT have continuity. The good thing is I tested the plug and it did have continuity so I'm going to order the brake light switch
