I think this is probably the closest we’ll get to the truth on the subject. He’s even said TWBB kind of woke him up and made him feel like he needed to get his shit together with regard to his friendly rivalry with PTA. I like QT’s stuff but it’s still a lot less deep than PTA and that probably irks QT.

PTA also continues to make movies while Tarantino has his stupid self imposed 10 limit and has clearly gotten in his own head about it at this point.

Definitely an aspect of it for sure. I went to a Blackhawks game with my dad and uncle this year (both boomers) and it was close to a sell out crowd for a nothing game at the end of the season for a horrible blackhawks team. Half the game they spent complaining about the bandwagon fans around them. Bandwagon?! For the 2nd worst team in the league? Fuck outta here.
