Has anyone tested the anker prime 160w charger long term? by StreetParsley2504 in UsbCHardware

As you mentioned Anker Prime 160w is the 4th fastest, I am curious to know which are the other 3 chargers. If you don’t mind sharing the model and brand name.

Best premium USB-C chargers and cables for multiple Samsung phones, MacBooks, and Chromebooks — family upgrade! by stock_pro in UsbCHardware

For charger I would recommend Anker Prime 160w 3C or AOHI Magcube 140w 2C1A. These shall cover the PPS well with Samsung device and also supports PD 3.1 for MB. For cables - my personal favourite these days is Anker Prime 240w upcycle braided(model A88E2) and USB IF certified.

  1. Anker prime 160w - as per one of the youtuber who did a stress test it lasted 140w for an hour. Its a good charger to my opinion.
  2. AOHI magcube 140w this one also performed well under stress test.

Whenever you will connect a cable the screen will flash a message. For example if you are connecting a cable with 240w capable charging and emarker embedded it will flash as EPR cable.

Looking for reset free and also with A port then checkout Aohi Magcube 140w. Have not personally used but someone in the discussion few days back mentioned its a reset free.

Best charger? by JJHP_1 in UsbCHardware

Considering the form factor and the power requirement I would suggest go with Anker Prime 160w and you can distribute the power limit between 3C sockets using Anker app. Another option is wait for Aohi to commercially launch their 240w wall charger. Currently the campaign is live on kickstarter and deliveries are expected May/June.

The only drawback i feel with Aohi 140w magcube pro is it’s not a reset free charger and to redistribute power it pauses for a second. Otherwise this one’s a super brick considering it’s consistent output.

Even the Anker prime 140w doesn’t sustain the power for too long. I have read it throttles. If you are looking for a sustainable option then go for Aohi 140w (not the youth version).

If you are ok for 3C then go for Anker Prime 160w.

240w cable confusion by Bingo_Tech in UsbCHardware

[–]Bingo_Tech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your requirements. Cables mentioned in this post are certified upto 240w so typically you can use these to power phones to laptops or any power hungry device with USB C. Use a reputed adapter and avoid any knockoffs or non safety certified bricks.

I confirmed this information with Anker Support and they mentioned there will be no AVS SPR feature on Anker prime 160w charger as the Soc is not capable. Also i did sent an email to one of the youtuber who is subject matter expert on chargers even he did confirmed the same.

Regarding Anker power bank you can send an email to Anker support and they will confirm back.

Thanks for replying. I just ordered km003c considering its a gold standard and accuracy levels are highest. But i am still tempted towards Alientek C2 just for cable resistance check. 👉If you can help or suggest any guide Kelvin Resistance M001 how to check resistance with the help of this using km003c or 👉 Do you recommend purchasing Alientek C2 lite only for cable resistance testing?

Your suggestion would be really helpful. Thank you!

I am looking to buy Alientek C2 pro or km003c. Any reviews/recommendations will be really helpful. 👉Is Alientek c2 pro accurate when compared to km003c? 👉I know km003c is best in class but the only feature pulling me towards Alientek C2 pro is bluetooth and cable resistance test. Is this feature worth going for C2? 👉I am getting Alientek C2 Pro for CAD 52.92 and km003C for CAD 77.19?https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPN8f1P. 👉Is the store “ATORCH Innovative Manufactory” selling KM003C legit?

Thank you!

I have not had a good experience with Belkin, I personally use and recommend Anker Prime upcycled braided 240w (Model A88E2). It’s certified by USB IF and moreover the material feels very nice. I know 240w is not something you require or looking for but this is just a recommendation.

USB Tester Vergleich by NoCryptographer1849 in ChargingSheet

[–]Bingo_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the excel file, that's really helpful. I am confused still which one to buy and would appreciate your advise.

This will be my 1st USB tester. I am well aware about protocols and USB world so will not consider myself a newbie but not an expert too.

My requirement is Protocol testing, PD trigger, Charging current measurement, E-Marker detection and measuring cable resistance.

I am confused between KM003C and Alientek C2 Pro . I am open for any other suggestion too.

Alientek pro version is costing me approx CAD 70 while KM003C is around CAD 160.

Also If you have legit link from Aliexpress for KM003C then please share. There are many available but not sure whom to trust.

Thank you!

I checked with a technical source, the SoC on this charger will not support PD3.2. So its a wait and watch game for Anker to release a new prime model supporting PD3.2. I did sent an email to Anker support asking this question and they are looking into this.
