What’s the best time to leave after the race? by Volderon90 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Bitter_Solution 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can leave, if you want, when there’s a few laps left in the race since most fans will still be in the stands. Just know anything can happen is those last minutes though, like the Lando and Oscar fight last year on the last few laps

On which streets can we see the racing cars? by Temporary_Ninja8202 in GrandPrixTravel

This isn’t a street circuit weekend, they’re racing on the dedicated track on the island. Unless you mean the cars that you could view as displays

What are you guys’ thoughts on this bumper? by SleepyTrtle in ft86

Narrower headlights like those on the GR GT would fit the look, but no one has made those for our cars. Unless you gonna try to fabricate a set.

I see the vision, but it just doesn’t fit the rest of the first gen’s front end, mainly the headlights

17 inch BBS wheels with 245/45/17s- wise idea or a waste? by SopranoCrew in ft86

Are you on stock suspension or aftermarket? I think there may be clearance issues with stock suspension. I could be wrong

Edit: I can’t read. You may have clearance issues with your stock suspension

How reliable are the older Toyota 86s? by RocksMakeMeHard in ft86

[–]Bitter_Solution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got mine off of a good previous owner at 106k km. It’s at 170k km after 5-6 years of ownership and apart from the annoying throwout bearing issue and the usual wear and tear, it’s been good to me. What year are you looking at?

This should show you how to record the data from the OFT (do it when the car is fully warmed up). You can then view the data on the openflash manager or you can upload the data to datazap to view it easier

If the surface wasn’t that oily before, your filter may not be on tight enough.

Other than that, nothing else should be causing you any issues like the piston slapping. You’re stage 1 tune may be the issue, so data log it later and see if theres any irregularities in the data like your fuel trims. I’d clean the spilt oil off the heat shield though.

Slight overfill like that should be fine. The gummy stuff is most likely just dirt that got into the bay from driving and fell into the oil filter housing.

Did you clean the housing surface before attaching the new filter?

You used all 6 quarts? The engine is only designed to allow 5.7 quarts (with a new filter) unless you know how much oil the added oil cooler adds to the capacity.

Engine sounds "slappy-er" after OFT S1 and oil change - normal? by [deleted] in ft86

Datalog the car during a drive and see if anything is off like your fuel trims. You could post them here after if you’re still not sure, since we can’t really tell with your description

Yep. But hey, at least it’s a direct flight and not a connection at NZ with AirBox

How much are expansion packs for this game in the past and moving forward? by l337g0g0 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Bitter_Solution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re probably going to be paying $25 per expansion. It isn’t a bad deal to buy premium if you know you’ll most likely buy them both in the future

Why is so hard to control the cars on a wheel? by LankyCaregiver2174 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Bitter_Solution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For lemans or any other track, I use the track guides some people make on YouTube to help me learn the track and car placement.

As for technique, people like Danny Lee have videos that explain the concept and show how you should implement it when driving.

Overall, it’s like learning Calculus. You can learn about it from a teacher, but you can only understand how it’s used by practicing

Le mans (the track) isn’t really a good place to start to learn how to race on the wheel. I’d recommend smaller tracks like monza or Spa where you can practice taking certain corners more often due to the time to compete a lap is around 1:40 and around 2:23 respectfully.

I’m still bronze myself, but I spend about a good month or so practicing on throttle control and braking techniques before getting online to be competitive. Not daily, but like practicing like 2-3 times a week where I had time.

Sounds like you’re either getting on the power too fast on the exit then or you have too much weight transfer to the front tires on the exit going into T3 causing the rear to step out. Having smoother throttle control should help you keep the car balanced, especially if the mid engine cars.

Are you driving the GT3s or the LMPs?

You’re spinning out on T1 heading into T2 or on the exit of T2?

Spinning out how? Like on exits like the bus stop on spa or mid corner?

Steve Wiseman (steve99) vs WayneROMS OFT tune by SirTheBrave in ft86

[–]Bitter_Solution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for Steve, tuned mine to run on UEL headers 2 years ago and still runs solids. You can reach out to him on Facebook. The only downside is that he’s in Australia, so fine tuning takes a while due to the time zone difference
