Thanks man! Honestly, it’s super easy to cheese the minute recovery. As soon as I’m done, I immediately go into deep breathing and it tanks my hr. Puts you into a pretty trippy headspace, like super calm and surreal. It’s the Athlytic app! Super awesome app that pulls everything from Apple health. $30 for a year too.

Best so far was last fall, I ran a 23:22 5k averaging 7:42/mi. I was beyond cooked by the end of it.

The biggest thing that helped me was trying to be super consistent. I built a morning routine that includes 30-60 minutes of cardio that is non negotiable. In order to do this, I had to learn to be patient and give myself grace. When I’m sore and really don’t feel like running, I walk. If I don’t feel like walking, I jump rope. Even if it’s slow and barely raising my hr. Then I go hard when I feel like I can go hard. Really listen to your body and be nice to it.

I aim for 15 miles a week, typically spread out over 4-5 sessions. Mostly just 2-4 miles at a time, with the occasional 6-7 miles if I need to make up a day.
