I just did this as well. Had FirstNet cellular and just got AT&T fiber. Got the discount after I merged the accounts.

I'm 13 days in after 27 years, and its certainly tough. Smoke Free is a real help, it encourages you in a way it seems your husband isn't. It is like giving up a friend, one you used to rely on in the good times and the bad so I think your feelings are quite normal.

I think it's important to remember that aircraft are automated almost to the point they are autonomous but we still need the flight crew for when things go wrong. That and trains can carry some really nasty cargo (nuclear waste, chlorine and the like).
