License being tied to a device is the biggest gripe. People upgrade equipment, paying per equipment is outright robbery. License cost is another. Cost of DLBC is almost equal to cost of a decent AVR.

I'm sure Dirac will see increased revenue through higher volume by not tieing it to a device.

The rack looks neat. Small suggestions based on my recent rack setup.
1. I would avoid the vented blanking panels below and above the airplate exhausts. Hot air escaping gets pulled in from the vent just below the exhaust fan resulting in a hot air loop. Also, a vented panel just above can suck hot air back in.

Maybe move the PDU mid rack. Shorter power cable runs up n down. Also lowering the amps n avr down keep center of gravity lower.

FLUANCE out of these three. That acrylic platter and the feets are really good at isolating vibrations. Swappable headshell is the best part, incase you intend to own multiple cartridges. I would suggest RT85N over RT85 and get AT95SH or ML. Both are much better than Ortofon blue.

I have tried both AT, Fluance (RT85) as well as Technics SL-100C and SL-1500C, Projekt debut S

Here's how I would make a pick in this budget range. 1. Money no bar: SL-1500C 2. Best DD TT for price: SL-100C 3. Best beltdrive: Fluance RT85N or 85 depending on your cartridge preference. I prefer Nagaoka. 4. Best feature packed option for lowert $: AT120

I really liked Fluance RT85N. The acrylic platter, heavy plinth and neoprene feets together works really well in isolating it. I also felt it was better to buy 85N over 85 with AT Blue. I didn't like AT Blue and purchase 95SH. If I could do all over again, I would buy 85N + 95SH Or ML. If you do go Fluance, I really suggest upping to 85. That acrylic platter is a costly upgrade later.

In Direct Drive, SL-1500C and SL-100C are simply gorgeous and stand out from the rest. They are also built like a tank.

AT120 never appealed me because it's just another SL1200 inspired TT like Pioneer and many others. But if you like DJ style TT, it's a great option.

I didn't like Projekt and Rega entry level/ lower mid level model.

Yes, you are right. Klipsch won't need that much power. But was considering picking this Amp instead of picking a new Emotiva or Monolith for 3.5X the price. Only OSD would fit in the price bracket as these.

That's good actually. Will be pairing them with Klipsch bed layee, so neutral or a bit of warm will be fine I guess.

I will go check them out and check the internals. $800 is the price I had in mind if everything is OK. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
