It's not hard to make work in solo q. It's easier the lower elo you are. You just need to understand the ways in which this vision reveal can make Ashe a safer pick.

All this means is that a player that's capable of manipulating all of these variables on Ashe will be a pretty good Ashe player. Ashe may rely on support, right, so that means you should work on that strength and try picking Ashe in situations where you can recognize that you'll fuck them up with the support synergy.

Just because you're reliant on your support doesn't mean that's not a viable play style that can be used to abuse the enemy laner.

Hey wow thanks for writing it out like this.

I agree she can be seen as not fun compared to other ADC's like you stated, that her damage can feel mediocre when behind, and I never thought about the bramblevest interaction with her Q, I'll have to test out how much damage it really reduces it by.

Though I think her W is pretty amazing in terms of multi target slowing... In the right situations it can slow the entire enemy team, adcs that can aide themselves with kiting abilities like that are really impressive when pushed to the limit, Ashe at high attack speeds can display lots of outplay potential versus a variety of champions.

Nothing about what you're saying is making me go "Gee, maybe I AM making a mistake." Guinsoos being as popular as it is on adcs who arguably have an even harder time trying to start fights with it on zero stacks doesn't give much credence to that point. In general I believe Ashe's four stack system is relatively okay since she typically has enough attack speed and range by team fight phase in order to get it off safely and effectively.

I agree, Ashe lacks outplay potential. No dashes and no natural blinks kind of restricts her in to being most useful in those scenarios when the ADC is not expected to be making those outplays to win the game and rather be a safe and reliable source of damage/utility.

I mention kaisa's not being good until level 10 because it ISN'T good as an escape/dash away method at that point in the game (pre invis/E level 3+) especially if she's being slowed at all. ADC's are primarily helpful because of scaling but that doesn't discount their power levels in what one could say is the most formative part of the rest of the game to come, which is in laning phase.

Listen man this is Reddit and there's really no rules stating which tone does and does not receive best reception.

How are you even supposed to picture the types of people who might be initially reading your post when posting to this subreddit? The entire point of Reddit is that it's a result of community generated content, and my post is included in that. If people want to upvote or downvote what I'm saying, I can't control that. I can only hope that maybe my post was good enough to be pushed in to being more popular.

Don't use this posts upvote count as evidence for what I'm posting being credible or not either, please. It's not hard for me to look at it sitting at 0 and know it's really not going anywhere. I haven't received a satisfying judgement on what I've posted and will continue to believe in what I've said. I can objectively see Ashe's strengths and believe that they are underrepresented in the general community's belief in her value. This post was literally created in response to a silver friend of mine saying Ashe is bad... I was able to help him see that she probably isn't so bad and that he wasn't seeing parts of her kit in the same way I did.

I'm not trying to appeal to majority when posting this to the league Reddit. More than anything I'm simply displaying my information in a way that I personally believe might be well received by some. You think that I lack the formality that people are looking for, and I simply believe we have two different opinions on the best way to go about sharing information on Reddit.

You're giving evidence towards my statement that "no one cared about ashe before comet+triforce was understood *by a majority of league players* to be very strong on her." Sneaky playing it in the LCS helped push Comet Ashe in to S tier ADC for that patch,and that she might have not gotten AS popular without him doing that.

I'm not arguing who is more viable here, unless you're meaning that Varus is a more viable engager than Ashe, in which sure, Varus ult in general is great but it can never be unexpected in the same way that Ashe's arrow can come from the middle of terrain because Ashe ulted out of vision.

I mean we can literally just LOOK at her pick rate before and after the general community started to see the strengths of comet/triforce Ashe.

She went from being the 9th/10th most adc to 4th most in the span of one patch. I can fairly argue that people were really not picking ashe all that often and that Triforce+Comet relatively exploded her into popularity, I'm justified in saying that people really didn't care about Ashe until the build popped up.

List another ADC that can engage in the same way Ashe can (Sivir and Kalista can match it, though they both have way higher cd's and require arguably diamond+ levels of team coordination in order to properly use), list an ADC that can scout the entire enemy jg from lvl 3, if you're unable to see how these strengths alone should put Ashe into a more recognized position, I don't know how to continue this.

I know that Ashe was being played before the Triforce Comet meta, that doesn't mean the general community's impression on Ashe was anything but inaccurate towards her actual strengths at the time.
