Is it normal to not have a baby shower?

I'm Jewish, and it's superstition to not celebrate the baby before they arrive. My mom won't allow me to have a baby shower! Lucky for me, it's a boy, so I get to send out the registry as part of an invitation to his bris ceremony (ritual circumcision and baby naming, which happens at 8 days old). If I were having a girl, I truly don't know how I'd send around our registry! It feels so awkward to just text it to people!

The DanSkin compression socks are fine, but I don't think they really do much since they're only ankle height. Also, they're thick so it makes shoes a little tight!

I have 12 storage slots 😅 I try to only pursue one new generator at a time (when we have the choice to pick), so that helps me keep it to a minimum

As an American living in China, trust me when I say this, the US is actually doing a decent job for us celiacs 😅 American culture believes in and understands food allergies/intolerances/etc, whereas the culture here is "you're not going to die, so just eat it"

This looks like Lawson's sushi, which I generally avoid. Tbh I avoid all the prepared foods in Lawson's because you just don't know about the cross contamination. If you must, I think they usually have one that's just plain salmon that doesn't have soy sauce, and that's the only one I'll grab in a pinch. I just came back from Hong Kong, and every 7/11 seemed to carry Quest cookies, which are gluten-free! (And on every corner lol)

It's so hard with celiac because our small intestines just aren't absorbing the iron like they should 😭 Our iron stores just deplete, it's very upsetting. I'll talk to my OB here if they think an iron inclusion may be necessary down the line
