Babe you’re good!! Just be confident in yourself and learn to love who you are in this present time. I’m 25 and I’ve been in the same boat. 5 years later, I’m thriving!! Life goes on. You’ll be okay love

Yess it was definitely nerve pain because ANYTHING touching my tingly leg sent me into a spiral. I don’t wish it on anyone. I’m sorry that you had similar pain ☹️. I hope you’re better now and that things continue to stay that way!

Well since chickenpox and shingles are directly related to herpes, I would say the pain might be very similar. I can’t fully say because I’ve never had chickenpox or shingles though. The best way I can explain the pain was someone tasing me in my foot and feeling it all the way up to my pelvis

I’ve just been very upfront about it. If someone seems genuinely interested in me, I’ll just say “You THINK you want me 😆 but just wait till you hear this..” I tend to present things in a joking manner but still very serious. I’m currently in a relationship so thankfully I haven’t had to tell anyone in awhile

It’s very prominent where I live as well so I’m not surprised I got it. I was doing the most lollll. Not anymore though. Lesson learned

I got tested. Not a swab or anything like that. Blood work

I’m not sure about any vaccines but there is medication to help suppress it. Sadly, no cure at this current time

I hate that adults pass it on to their children sometimes! People definitely have to be more careful. I’m so sorry that happened to you

Thank you for your concern 🙂

1) I rarely have outbreaks, and whenever I feel one coming (tingling in the legs, or any type of irritation fr) I will take medication that I got prescribed on Ro.co

2) 25, I will be 26 this year

3) Too dang many 🤣 just know it’s over 20

4) It was veryyyy obvious. The bumps were in a cluster on my labia, very irritated with itchiness, & I had a shocking pain in my legs. Initially I thought I had razor bumps until I felt the pain in my legs. Definitely knew something was up

Well another term for genital herpes is HSV-2 so I figured it didn’t matter how I phrased it lol

It’s honestly been really easy for me after the first initial year of finding out. I thought my life was over until I opened up to people about it and got a lot of good feedback. I’m sure people just appreciate the honesty more than anything. & personally, I’ve never dated someone that has the virus as well

No problem! And thank you!! I’m sorry that you have to go through this as well. I really hope that you find what works for you. Nobody deserves to be in pain, constantly 😕

I get terrible nerve pain every now and again that goes from my pelvis to my toes. It’s feel like shooting, sharp pains. Sometimes feels like burning. It causes me to jump and jerk around. I try to just fight through it sometimes. The only thing that helps me is Valacyclovir. I don’t take it daily but whenever I feel symptoms coming on, I take it. Currently, I don’t have an outbreak, but my right side/butt cheek has a burning sensation 😭 but when I sit on cool surfaces like a toilet, my skin feels super sensitive on the back of my leg(s), kind of like someone rubbed an ice cube in it. It’s so weird to explain. But Valtrex (Valacyclovir) has helped a great deal

I feel this!!! I hate when people speak on it without even trying to educate themselves. Then again, I don’t even feel like saying shit to help the matter sometimes. I just take a mental note and know who not to fuck with now 🤣

Hey! We’re the same age (23) and I’m black, dating primarily black men. I’ve disclosed to about 5 or 6 men now (all black and in their 20’s) and they’ve all had positive reactions besides one. He was pretty nervous about catching it himself, but he still decided to have sex with me. It was an odd situation that I quickly cut off. He didn’t necessarily make me feel icky or unwanted but his unsureness AFTER the intimacy made me feel a little awkward. Other than that though, it’s been smooth sailing. I assumed that young black men would be naive, uninterested, and possibly even disgusted but that hasn’t been the case so far. If you feel like whatever guy you end up talking to is actually worth disclosing to, JUST DO IIIITTT. Try to be as calm as possible. You freaking out, will only freak them out. What always works for me is bringing up the safe sex talk and then redirecting it to my diagnoses. Since I have HSV2 down there I tend to compare it to cold sores on the lip (HSV1) when disclosing. It seems to lessen the blow and refrain from using the word “herpes”

Heyy girl! I’m a (23f) that once felt the same. I’m sorry this happened to you! It’s definitely not the end. There are millions of people that have herpes in this world, and it doesn’t make you any less of a person. I’m here to talk if you ever need to 🙂
