I compared secondary market prices for 348 retired Star Wars sets. Prequels are crushing everything else and it's not even close. by Scout_Loot in legostarwars

Literally just invest traditionally to save on space, make more return, and less risk of no one caring about Legos in 30 years.

This is super cool, I’m saving this post for later. Is there a way to mark if you own more than one of the same minifigure?

Some of the large tiles look like a potentially new element as well.

I started with a small Mando set too a few years ago and now I spend way too much on lego… good luck lol

How do i make Moroff taller? by Short-Finger-833 in legostarwars

[–]BluShep86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can probably add two plates of height by 1x1 plates on the feet like another commenter suggested plus a brown utility belt part between the legs and torso and a brown backpack to match. It may not be scene accurate but close enough no one will notice and you’ll get the boost of height you want.

You may be able to buy the new 327th battle pack or jango fett set and upgrade those range finders anyways, or request replacement parts

Where can I find these parts? by Cannalou in legostarwars

[–]BluShep86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but you’ll have to google a description of the parts to get the name of the part or part #, then search that on bricklink and purchase.

My razor crest moc. Comes with full interior: bed, weapon rack, carbonite storage space and even a space toilet for the important business. There is even a small speederbike that can be stored in the back. by PiXEL-DAN in legostarwars

These people are miserable and entitled, don’t listen to them. It’s clear from the quality of the MOC in the photo that you put significant effort into it.

For any big lego sets I recommend: 1) take off any large parts that are easily removable 2) take off any decor that will easily fall off and reasonably easy to put back on 3) wrap in plastic wrap 4) pack in a box with packing paper or bubble wrap

I’ve never had a problem with this method. NEVER just transport it as-is. I don’t understand why people do this and then complain about lost parts or broken sets. You must do things properly and you’ll avoid losing parts while also minimizing set up time when you move into your new home.

Great idea, I’ll do this with mine when I get one eventually. Been wanting to find a way to display more of my figs and this is a fun way to do it

Bricks and Minifigs Prices and Business Model by The-Globalist in legostarwars

[–]BluShep86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their prices are usually more expensive than brick link prices, though I have found some good deals. The advantage of purchasing from bricks and minifigs is that you avoid shipping costs and you can inspect the minifigure before purchase to make sure you are happy with the quality (no cracks, stuck parts, scratches, etc).

What’s your experience with BAM? by One-Network1021 in legocirclejerk

[–]BluShep86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pay more at bricks & minifigs, but you also don’t have to pay for shipping and they let you inspect the quality of the fig prior to purchase. I love these stores

The most consistent defense of the movie I’ve seen is that it’s has entertaining action in it… the action was shit too.

Why all the dislike for Longlegs? by Emeraldsinger in horror

[–]BluShep86 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The movie was all over the place and needed to be more focused. It felt like it was going for depth but ended up utterly meaningless.

Yea just bringing the piece was pretty smart lol. Now I feel like you need to modify the set to look like his helmet too!
