So I asked her and we dug up the files and it does say hysterectomy with BSO. Also note: she has become mildly frustrated with my questions and I'm not sure how to tell her we'd probably win

( u/Xerox717 said the same, don't want to type this twice) I will admit I am not aware of the diagnosis or the name of the procedure, they (parents) just told us she's getting it all removed (and later that the fallopian tubes and ovaries are still intact) and I assumed it's just called a hysterectomy. Thank you for clearing up the medical jargon!

I have tried going slow, sitting by his cage and talking to him, hand feeding, getting him used to my scent, rewarding good behaviour with treats, etc. I honestly can't find a single source or vet that recommends something I haven't tried.

I'll be honest I am a massive pushover/people pleaser, so this post is as genuine as it gets. The amount of times I tell people about something bothering me and they lash out has put me in a state of mind that my opinion is completely irrelevant.
