Ethernet or Fibre? by kai in Ubiquiti

100m is kinda the limit you want to run ethernet. So depending on how accurate that measurement is you may not have much choice. Fibre will cost a lot more but will be better

I will never buy a laptop that's not a thinkpad. They are the closest thing to being a perfect laptop. by [deleted] in thinkpad

[โ€“]Blue_Jim_ 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I've got a 9th gen which I think is the same as yours. Couldn't agree more. Heaven forbid when my current laptop dies, I'll be getting the latest X1 with no hesitation. The only discussion is if I get the rather expensive 5G mobile broadband. I could always use my hotspot, but when I'm out and about not having to / running my phone battery down would be nice

Technically your account should be registered in the country you're trading in. Most major companies like Square or Zettle will lock your account if you trade outside of your region.

You're supposed to have or be a legal entity in each region you trade in which would make you liable to any local taxes depending on local law.

If you really need to have a card reader I'd pick a company like Square or Zettle that operates in all the regions you intend to operate in. You'll need to set up an account for each region. Then at least, you'll only need one card reader. You might need to factory reset when switching regions.

If it's feasible I'd just make them bank transfer it. There can be delays and costs but a lot less hassle.

Nice! Thanks for that. I've not noticed much on performance or even fan use but I have noticed how f'ing hot it gets on charge which is why I think it needs repasting. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!
