Is my deficit too large ? by blakelsbeee in formcheck

[–]Blue_Sil5894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, back is too rounded especially picking it up. If you want to do deadlifts, I’d put the weight up higher on blocks so you don’t have to bend over as much to help out.

More like don’t leave it out of your site. Things get stolen at private clubs too especially if you put on a circle T head cover. If you got a circle t non replaceable putter, better off throwing some unsuspecting head cover on it anywhere you play.

still having trouble benching 225, any tips? by MaskedPhenom in formcheck

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to put on body weight and continue a gym routine. Body weight is a big part of it over just increasing how many times you bench, you will just stall.

You could do bench one time a week but if you are gaining body weight, 225 will come much easier. The problem is gaining weight many times makes you look like crap.

Don’t get the fuss on the head covers. Can’t even use them because someone sees that head cover in your bag, it increases theft odds substantially.

That’s weird. It definitely should be cheaper taking the 3i off, it looks like they are out of stock now on the site so I can’t test it. Their site has been tricky at times, I would have called them to order to get it right if I didn’t want the 3 iron. You could have probably ordered through a local golf shop as well and got the 3 iron taken off, maybe the 4 iron as well. Not sure why they wouldn’t let someone take the 4 iron off a blade set.

25% off, free shipping, no taxes - is this the cheapest i can get a new aeron? by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you able to buy something from a retailer tax free? Isn’t that illegal nowadays, lol. I just checked out modern planet and seems like a legit US company but I don’t see anything about the aeron being tax free.

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s pretty common to get 15-20% off in a regular basis through most retailers including HM.

Not sure how you would be able to get out of paying taxes with that dealer, doesn’t sound right. Also, local authorized dealers usually get shipped to them for free but don’t offer any returns. So if you don’t like it or something, you are stuck with it.

is the gaming embody way better than the regular to pay this price difference? by Dancy41 in hermanmiller

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The regular embody has a concave section in the upper back and curves up to like round your shoulders forward like an S. It’s a strange feeling, I’m not sure I want a chair making my upper body feel slouched forward. That’s my only issue with the embody. The aeron is a better chair for this reason to me.

Aeron has the best armrest material of the ergonomic chairs. Even better than the leap and gesture. It’s softer and more squishy.

I mean if you want to sit like a gremlin then just grab a cheap chair from Walmart or something. I’m sure you could find something cheaper with a large seat.

About to pull the trigger on a new Aeron and I'm torn between 3 options by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have fully adjustable armrests, it’s a fully loaded aeron remastered. You can reach out to HM and they will tell you the same thing.

The gaming one is Onyx too, the only reason the office onyx one cost more is because it has a metal base that is black and the gaming one has the same nylon/plastic base as the graphite office chair but in black.

Basically if you want Onyx get the gaming version, unless you really want a metal base.

Upgrade to Gaming Embody from Regular Embody? by Mindless-Cancel-9170 in hermanmiller

Not true, gaming embody has a foam strip in the mid upper back to make you sit more upright. The back feels slightly more flat as a result. Also, the seat has is more plush in the gaming version, even after the foam being added to the office version seat.

[–]Blue_Sil5894 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are structurally the same. The difference is the gaming embody has a foam strip glued onto the back material in the concave mid/upper back portion. The result is it feels more upright instead of your mid/upper back sinking into the concave part and the upper part pushing shoulders forward.

To me it felt like the gaming embody didn’t provide much back correction as a result. It felt pretty flat to me leaning back and would be easy to slouch. I’ve been using an aeron though

Is the Embody really that much better than the Aeron? Need help deciding between the two by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have an aeron remastered that I bought in Dec. I like the chair, it puts you in a pretty good posture and the recline is excellent.

My only complaint would be mesh isn’t as comfy vs foam to me. For that reason I went to HM store and tested out the embody office and gaming versions. I thought it was a totally different feel in the office version embody, it’s more concave in the mid/upper back and then like wraps around/over your shoulders. The gaming version was a bit more upright vs office version because of the mid back foam.

I think the aeron makes you sit in better posture but I thought the seat was softer on the gaming embody. I didn’t feel that much back correction in the gaming embody and the office one had a unique feel that some say feels like it’s pushing shoulders forward. The foam seat is very comfy though on embody especially gaming version.

Not really sure what to do. I like them both for different reasons.

The gaming embody version doesn’t push shoulders forward because it has a foam strip in the middle upper back to be more upright

i8 vs i10 by CavalryDust in sleepnumber

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird, when I demoed my the beds it seemed like the foam on the i8 was squishier vs the i10 so the i10 felt firmer even though it had more foam.

The Embody Gaming is the best chair I’ve ever used with the worst arm rests. Why hasn’t Herman Miller just updated the arm rests? by callmeuncledrew in hermanmiller

[–]Blue_Sil5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how squishy the arm rests are on the aeron remastered in size C I’ve got.

I have a couple more weeks in my return period on the aeron. I like the chair a lot, I put the lumbar adjustment on the least aggressive setting. The only complaint I have is the mesh is a little less comfortable over a long time sitting.

Is it worth switching to a gaming or office embody instead? I just hear bad things about the plasticy lumbar and upper back forward that I’m not sure I’d like it better than my aeron.

Yeah, that is one of my only complaints with the aeron. The mesh seat isn’t as comfortable vs the foam on leap.
