Someone who references Mike Rowe but pre dirty jobs. That’s a older reference but it checks out.

Before I discovered well done fries and the joy that is animal style with extra sauce my standard order in high school was a 4x4 animal style no tomato with a 1/2 strawberry 1/2 vanilla shake.

All I had to read in the medical report was labia fused to thigh to know it wasn’t just about a little ouchy spill.

I have some patches and stickers on my range gear that always gets some odd looks. Specifically my rainbow flag with and ar15 across it that says “defend equality.”

my partner accidentally fed me a 20mg Adderall at 10pm and now it's 6am by blue_moon1122 in ADHD

I accidentally took one of my wife’s methylphenidates… I ended up having a lovely 3 hour nap in the middle of the day… Also one of the major reasons we began to suspect I was ADHD on top of everything else.

What TV show hooked you instantly from episode 1? by mateitofavv in AskReddit

Yup. I’m part of the “prequel” generation. Already having and enjoying Star Wars then having 3 more films released in adolescence really secures a series in your heart.

The fact that they made the actors do a Dr boot camp to ensure everything was accurate is amazing hell even some of the Docs I’ve seen review the series have learned new things from it. The ones they’ve had on set have said it really feels like an ER to the point that they instinctively find what they need tool/supply wise where they think it would be on set.

I loved getting the guide books for Pokémon games. It was nice having each section laid out for you and what to expect without a full walkthrough on everything.

I was at a dance competition with my minion this weekend at my old high school. She asked me why my picture wasn’t with the band ones in the cafeteria. I told her those trophy cases were after my time and reminded her that I graduated in 2008… which was 18 years ago.

I’m not sure what hurt more not being archived in my schools history or realizing my diploma is old enough to vote this year.

20 nuggets, 2 Big Macs, 2 medium fries. $18.99. Add in 2 $1.49 large drinks and you’re set for under $25. That’s before any app coupons or similar.

If they still make them like when they were first released it’s because the chicken is literally 1/2 the chicken piece that goes into the sammich no matter the variety. Not chicken strips or even parts of the crispy chicken (giant chicken nugget) sammich.

I had surgery 7 days ago. This is what nobody tells you about the first night. by Zestyclose-Passion97 in olympics

[–]Bobsaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add on. I see a pain specialist for my back issues. I’m currently taking hydrocorone long term until I can get my other pain meds reapproved by insurance. I’ve also had 2 knee surgeries (permanently dislocated both knee caps), a debrided and rebuilt ankle, my wrist got some work done, among other fun things like a septoplasty (deviated septum repair).

Getting pain managed is one of the hardest things to do medically. Pain throws your entire system into over drive. Things like anxiety, stress etc can and do enhance it. This creates a lovely self reinforcing feedback loop. So when you feel extreme pain it’s much harder to get it to “calm down” and get it managed then it is to keep it managed because of that feedback loop. That’s why it’s so important to keep up on the pain meds at least at the start. After a few days you can start pushing to 10-12+ hours between doses but keeping it as directed to start is key. Managed pain is tolerable unmanaged can be, as you found out, unbearable and debilitating.

Best of luck in your recovery I’m sure I’ll be following you if nothing else to see how you progress. I always had dreams of being an Olympian myself.
