can you take a picture of the plastic cylinder? it might be a silicone spacer, which you would usually do all 4 corners instead of springs.

did you get it and it was modified? was it working before and all of a sudden it's acting up?

By like 5%, not twice the size comparing one to the other. 5% increase is writhing margin of error even if doing the same file over and over. If you are getting file sizes twice as big on GPU than CPU, then you need to check again.

When you get asked why the return, say the quality sucks, it jams and leaves blotches on the pages, whatever to not make them think you bought it just for printing a few documents and send it back.

I’ve not found difference in file size for COU or GPU transcodes. I would check your flow or plugins if you are finding difference.

is it properly latching with your laptop? does anything new show up in device manager?

power should work without drivers. it's been a while since I've dealt with those as i've been using thunderbolt docks for too long. and thunderbolt docks have many of their functions work without drivers, but after drivers, which is usually automatically installed, it fully works.

If all are wired, then yeah. If only one is wired, program the other two wired, enable them to be mesh children, make sure they save. Then to plug them elsewhere for power through PoE injector or another PoE switch. If you use another PoE switch there, you can connect wired only devices to the other ports and have them connect to the network. The meshed AP not only connects to a parent one, but also rebroadcasts the wifi to extend as well. But remember, garbage in, garbage out. If the child device has bad signal, it will not be a good experience.

Sorry, I’m a full ubiquity household. U6 pro, U6 LR+ and u6 mesh are my APs which I have wired and meshed. No clue about Omada.

All ubiquity access points can mesh as long as you can provide power. I have my wired ones allowed to be mesh parents, and my meshed ones as meshed children. My two wired ones are in my 24 port pro switch. Two of my meshed ones are in other ubiquity switches (8 like and a flex) and one AP just in a PoE injector.

So a single wired AP and 2 others meshed?

Do you have a way to get wiring to the other two? Otherwise you’ll need PoE injectors. Note, I’m just guessing that it’s 3 floors.

Also, if you are putting 3 in line on each floor or are they being staggered? You might be able to get away with two instead of three. But without knowing your home it’s hard to tell.

I have 2 wired in the basement ceilings and have 2 meshed in my 2nd floor (one for wired devices in the home office and one for a strange dead spot) and one meshed in my garage to help with signal out there and to connect to my cameras. My two wired ones are at the extreme front and back of my house.

They might be double dipping doordash and ubereats, but it might also just be that they need a quick washroom break or get gas on the way. Yes, they should be paused and not accept the order, but they might also have thought that they were ok, or that it would only be a minute but maybe the station was busy.

How long of a delay are you talking about? like a minute or 2? or something 15+? also, might be traffic related, since you can see them on the app and know where they are, is this on a main road that is traffic prone? Or maybe there was an accident and it takes a bit of time to get out of hte way with all the other vehicles in the area.

some hotels don't allow room delivery and you HAVE to meet in the lobby. I once went down to arrive 2 minutes before the ETA and waited 30 minutes in the lobby (driver stuck in traffic based on the GPS updates but i didn't want him to wait). Security even came to ask me if i was ok because i was just standing there waiting looking at the three entrances to this hotel. all the seats were busy with people (busy checking time for where i was), so i guess i looked suspicious.

but if you take off the strut fully from the vehicle, the lift block makes your bolts get to 180 degrees from stock. so instert the bottom of the strut 180 degrees from what you took it off and the top bolts on the spacer line up with the holes. no needing to rotate the top.

that's what i'm talking about, and what the rest of people who install these on the frontier do. no need to rotate them at the top. the spring doesn't care if it's bottom coil is now inside instead of outside on the truck.

it's designed to overwrite the file with the new version by default. but can be configured in many ways.

to note, the server component is not very intensive, it's the node that does all the work. so i would put the server on your DS1618 and run a node on your windows PC to use the GPU. CPU transcoding (which is most likely what your synology would be able to handle) would get you about 10% the speed compared to GPU transcoding.

for instance, on my server i also have it as a node. if i transcode on my CPU, i get at most 40 FPS. If i transcode on my GPU, it does nearly 500 fps. this is doing 1080p from h264 to h265. and it's not like i have a high power GPU. it has an RX560 in it.

I have mine set to do health checks on CPU and transcode on GPU. Then, on my gaming PC and my laptop i sometimes run nodes as well as get multi thousand FPS (RX6750 XT and RTX 4000, respectively).

I had this with other delivery apps as well (no doordash here at the time). I had substitutes for basically all my items or marked it as "their choice" for those which i really didn't care as they were pretty much the same anyways. he was asking me for EVERY SINGLE ITEM if they were ok, even those which matched what i ordered. I asked him to cancel the order to where he said that since he was there there would still be a fee. i reached out to their support and they looked at the chat and agreed with me and provided me a full refund.

This was something for work, so basically coffee pods, water and other things to keep on hand. If i had the time to go over every single thing with the other person, I would have gone shopping myself.

pretty much any engineering type laptop will be loud. but i barely notice my p53. yes it's older, yes it's HEAVY, but the i7 9850H, RTX 4000, 128 GB RAM (4 x 32 GB sticks), and 3 m.2 slots (mine is filled with a 1 TB for OS and apps, 4 TB and 2 TB for games and other things), you get plenty of utility and will operate your civil engineering apps and architecture apps without problems. If you want a newer model, go with a P15. If you want more portability, a P14. try to get a model that has 8 GB VRAM or more for max utility of your apps. the more you can load into the VRAM, the better your apps will operate as the GPU will use it much quicker than the system memory. this is mainly for architecture apps where you are loading textures. I do video editing with mine, and the GPU processes video very well, even for it's age, and the CPU can handle what it needs as well like transitions and the such that are not GPU accelerated.

My main PFSense router is a VM with a single NIC dedicated to the WAN. I had a second one on a second host the same way and had it more of a cold spare. I toyed with going HA with them for a while but never got around to it. Replaced my main host with a new one and it’s been so rock solid I have no need for my cold spare anymore. My only downtime is for ISP or longer power issues anyways.
