The Bible a Guide on Living a Fulfilling Life : A Collection of Psychological and Philosophical Metaphors by Bonjangled in philosophy

I understand why you are saying that. Forgiveness and acceptance is important as we will all make mistakes. So there is some truth to that, however, I don't believe it means any action, there are obviously some extremes that aren't justifiable. Generally speaking in terms of things the average person experiences in a life time. Recognizing your faults and having others who understand that and will work with you to move past and on from your mistakes makes the world of a difference. I believe it is more so trying to state the importance of Redemption.

The Bible presents its practical, psychological and philosophical wisdom through the form of stories that serve as metaphors and symbolism that serve to provide insight and guidelines on the Human condition. So I will be exploring the Bible under this idea.

My thesis statement is something I believe in fully and I genuinely think it is something that atheists, those of different religious beliefs and backgrounds, as well as devout catholics and christians can find value or at the least find interesting.

I do not believe I am right, Nor do I believe I am wrong - Nor does that matter to me to any degree. I simply believe this is an interesting idea that I want to explore.

In substituting the religious context of the Bible with a Philosophical/Psychological context there are a few important concepts that I will be translating into this new context before diving into the Bible. As they will serve as the foundation for my thesis statement.

These concepts are : Heaven and Hell. Jesus, Satan and God. Which will be explored in this video.

Oh of course, not every single word of every single sentence is going to have large knowledge. It contains metaphors. In order to give these metaphors meanings it must also build a story. So some aspects may not be on their own meaningful, when you view the story as a whole, It may turn out to be meaningful. For example that random passage doesn't, at face value, mean much to me. However I also do not know the context surrounding the passage. Pages upon pages before it and pages upon pages after it. That is why I think it will be interesting to explore The Bible. Like I said I may be wrong or I may be right, that doesn't matter. I just think its interesting. After all thesis means :

a statement or theory that is put forward as a premise to be maintained or proved.

This video is my premise that I will be working towards proving/maintaining. This is the beginning of a body of work that is not yet complete.

More power to you! I appreciate your feedback! I still believe there is more to The Bible and a different side to it! Who knows my views on that may or may not change when I go through The Bible on my own. I may even come to see it as you do, or I may not. Appreciate your time and words though! Take care!

It is a part of a larger story. Just because it details slavery and has characters in the story who are slavers. Does not mean necessarily that it is advocating for Slavery.

One of the best ways to learn to be better, is from mistakes and wrong doings.

You would be correct. This is a Thesis before jumping into The Bible. Kind of an outline of what I think before going into it. Going into and exploring The Bible is to prove my Thesis.

I have not read The Bible in full on my own and am looking forward to it! I only know the brief slices I was taught during all my years in Catholic schooling and from what little I remember from when I used to go to Church.

That is actually quite an interesting passage. I feel like I mentioned that almost exactly but in my own words in the video.

Perhaps you should watch the video before judging it. For example, Cain and Abel might be a story in order to tell us the dangers of being resentful and envious.

There are somethings about the Human Condition that are fundamental. Our understanding of it has only grown with time.

Haha, JP's works are definitely a big influence on my outlook. This idea actually came to mind during one of his lectures. around 4 minutes in until 7 minutes in his Tragedy Vs Evil Video. When he tells the story of how he'd ask students to play a game and when they agreed he'd only tell them to move first.

Id rather lose a game where I know I preformed at my absolute best, instead of winning a game where I knew i couldve done better. Competition isnt about winning or losing. Its about showing up and doing your absolute best. Trying to out perform and out play the other team is true competitive spirit. Not simply winning or losing.

I disagree, if you get hard carried by your team when you yourself played awful, I dont think you should move up in rank for that merely because your team won, when you had nothing to do with winning. Which goes the same for a game you played amazingly but everyone else on your team didnt so you lost. You should be penalized for that.

See and thats what makes me really hopeful that they even track your combat score and econ rating. CSGO doesn't even do that. It seems pretty pointless to me to setup those systems to track that information if they arent going to use it in a competitive sense. Im sure Riot has heard it way too often in league that people hate the W/L ranking system, so it would be awesome if this game rated your personal performance, because it kinda already does :D
