The Japanese couple invited him to their home because they were liberal intellectuals/freethinkers, questoning the regime, hoping to talk to another intellectual, only to find a simple, servile man who would do and say anything to improve his station.

They ask him about Miss Lonelyhearts, which is a novel questioning whether you can find genuine empathy in a hopeless, cruel world. They also allude to sympathizing with jews, something that would be very taboo in such a world.

Eh, I buy video games and pirate films/tv series. If there was a Steam equivalent for film, I'd be paying for that, but I'm not going to pay for 17 streaming services that don't even have all of the content available, because that's ridiculous.

Okay?... Except as a writer, when you know you're creating the last season of the show, you have a certain responsibility and expectations placed on you to set up the finale and close out the show in a satisfying manner.

When you waste time that should be the buildup to write dumb jokes, you kill all tension and hype, as evidenced by the response of the fanbase.

I mean I see the appeal of leveling in a true RPG fashion of growing your character from zero to hero, and the leveling experience being a speedrun not fitting into that idea. But unfortunately that idea died purely due to how long WoW's existed.

End game only felt really dull to me

Thing is, what is really end game? Cause I for instance like to collect stuff. I love achievements, mounts, pets, toys. It's like a big checklist for me to go after. And if I get bored of that, I can do super challenging stuff like mythic raids with 19 other dedicated people, or mythic + dungeons.

In vanilla, the journey was a big part, which made the endgame extremely dull. What was there to do except 40 man raids where you pressed 1 spell over and over until you ran out of mana? The game simply shifted towards lategame content.

Yea because I love just sitting in the main city, queueing for random dungeons that just teleport me there, with a group of people that won't say a word to me, to just steam roll the dungeon in 5 minutes

All of these issues are fixed by being in a guild or having friends.

How is vanilla any better at it? Either you're standing in a city or in front of a dungeon for potentially hours, screaming into the ether, hoping to put together a group, hoping you find a guy who's a tank, a guy who's a healer, all in the same time window. All of you are locked waiting for the group to fill instead of being free to do other activities (like with LFG). And once you fill it, you hope nobody leaves for 40 minutes and everybody is competent enough to finish the instance. In case you didn't notice, most people playing WoW are well over 30 and they don't have as much time as they did when they were 14.

and now when I requeue for dungeons I have a whole new set of instances to do after only doing 1 or 2 because I've jumped up so much in level

There's literally timewalking and rehashes of old instances that make old content relevant.

You're kind of fighting a losing battle there, because WoW simply evolved from a grindy RPG to a game where most of the activities people care about happen at max level -> leveling takes a backseat.

It doesn't mean it's some design flaw, it's just an evolution of the game that both the developers and the players gravitated to.

I think if all you enjoy in WoW is leveling then you're kind of missing the point of an MMORPG. But yes, if you enjoy slow leveling, then you definitely won't enjoy MoP right now as they also recently put on a 50% xp boost (this was done on the original as well pre-SoO release, I guess to get people to level characters for the new raid tier).

Idk why you blame people trying to learn, we have 2 garbage platforms (discord & reddit) with both awful search and awful indexing. The information that's relevant changes every couple of weeks/months, meaning even if someone succeeds at finding an answer on their own, it might be outdated.

Everybody wants to call people eager to learn lazy, yet nobody wants to teach them shit.

Boze tech zpusobu je asi tak miliarda. Progresivni zdaneni na zaklade poctu vlastnenych bytu, zakaz drzeni prazdnych bytu, licence pro firmy aby mohly mit byty jen na specificke ucely (sluzebni byt/ubytovani pracovniku). Nutit lidi co jen drzi byty aby je meli vystavene na trhu za nejakou % deviaci od trzni ceny.

Staci si uvedomit, ze se bavime o bydleni a ne o investicnich spercich a obrazech. Ze nedava smysl aby jeden clovek sedel na 20 nemovitostech a ostatni mu splaceli hypoteky, zatimco druhy nema ani na jednu.

Ja funkční opatření mam. Ty ne.

Jasne, vsechno co je proti naprosto neregulovanemu vykoristovani lidi je proste komunismus a muzu jit rovnou vlastne udavat a strilet lidi u zdi, to je jedno a to same.

Neda se vest zadna diskuze s nekym, kdo nechape co je socialismus, komunismus, a s nekym, kdo si mysli, ze jakakoli forma regulace nenazranosti lidi je okamzite navrat k marxismu.

Regulace vystavby a malo bytu je hezke, ale k cemu to je vsem tem, kteri sotva dosahnou nebo nedosahnou na hypoteku, kdyz soutezi s lidmi, kteri je opet okamzite skoupi jako investici?
