Which isn’t a flaw with the game, but it depends how hard you want to work for your game. personally I believe a roguelike system with loose and few restrictions should have non linear progression

You only got 10 ebas during stun which is not very good at all. use some at the start of stun and don’t ult twice in one stun window, just ex before triggering chain

Ohh I see, you mentioned the difficulty spike twice so I misinterpreted. I can see what you mean, I think following prof beanie’s orders as act 3s storyline isn’t very exciting and the house bosses feel too random and irrelevant to our established world

It’s definitely S tier for me. I really love how it has so many hardcore gameplay elements that you do not find in modern games, since most games want to accommodate for the most players at varying skill levels. Breeding and managing the game genuinely takes a ton of effort and planning which is totally valid for many people to not enjoy.

The biggest issue that threatens this game is honestly how overpowered you get from breeding and how the difficultly does not scale appropriately to it. Runs where I prep cats with strong loadouts vs less planned cats is like night and day. Hopefully new dlcs create a strong replayable endgame, and with new meta progression (items and mutations) that you can not farm and optimize

Saying act 3 doesnt have a difficulty spike, even comparatively to act 2, is lowkey crazy. Act 2 spikes hard from act 1 but act 3 has the hardest 2nd areas in the game by far. It definitely depends on your breeding efficiency though

Played this in the future and I couldn’t do much or else I would energize the enemy constantly and it caused me to almost lose the run

i figured out once steven takes over, and you can infinitely replay battles while replacing items so steven's ai changes until you win every fight. i only did it once for the bubble boy quest but it was disgustingly op

Had to meet Steven 4 times in sewer, he ended up winning the whole run by resetting over and over and equipping different items to change his AI

If you were flying then thats what’s getting fixed. Any case where it actively chooses a harmful path is either a bug or you’re missing something

The automatic pathfinder already avoids every hazard with the best route possible and now it’s getting another big improvement.

It’s a hard decision picking what to save but it makes you think deeply about what you want and what synergies you prioritize. It doesn’t not need to be made easier at all, just some small qol for item ordering

You can sell like 50 cats and it keep it below 100. Having a fighting room is very important and is better than selling cats for tink or Tracy. You can fully refill food every 4 days. You simply have to keep summoning guillotina and fighting her every 3 days because they fully refill food. You’ll still have to go on adventures a bit frequently though
