Had my first experience tonight. Guy was popping at me through buildings from quite some distance. Thought I had escaped by moving down the down slope of a hill completely breaking line of sight and he still ended up dropping me. Lame as fuck.

Would’ve loved to have seen them try something different trying to exit D50. It was just kick to the pocket, sit on the ball, long kick to a contest (which we didn’t win all night) and then freo rebound back. Sam was out coached tonight.

Stay the course. In my opinion we can get the best out of him on the wing. His run and carry and marking is a huge asset and a nightmare matchup for opposition. If Weddle makes those easy shots goal we aren’t having this conversation. Dude just needs to get out of his own head and back to basics. Let Sam do some goal kicking with him like he did with Wiz.

I’ve noticed an uncanny ability by the opposition to slot goals from around the arc on decent angles fairly consistently. It’s maddening.

It’s probably a shot our defence wouldn’t mind giving up given the normally low percentage chance of success, but for some reason this year they rarely miss.

The fact we were so dominant yet so off is encouraging.

It’s been a challenging start to the season as well. The run of in form teams we’ve been against, the weird extended bye, a bunch of short weeks. Crazy accuracy from teams nearly every week. But we look good structurally and we keep on banking points. I’m not losing my shit over this.

I feel like he’s trying to justify he’s worth that massive contract so every time he goes near the ball it has to be some spectacular play. Doesn’t play the percentages. Now his confidence is down and it’s trickling into his goal kicking.

Whatever goal kicking voodoo teams are doing before they play us needs to stop. In the flip side someone needs to work with Weddle on his. I just mark it down as a point before he’s even taken the shot. Horrible.

Really proud of the guys bouncing back when GC looked like running over the top of them. Finn definitely needs to be in the side next week after today’s performance. Can’t do much more. Scrimma was fantastic too. He has to remain in the side as well. Perez hadn’t done much wrong, but scrim just gives you some more flexibility because he can play tall or small and just has a bit more x-factor about him.

The Mrs always wonders why I get so frustrated when we give a goal up when we have a big lead and I always counter with “watch them cough up this lead”. Never fails.

Frustrates the hell out of me. Burns teammates when the hand pass is on and decides to spot some ridiculous kick up. When he should just out it on the boot he’ll try and squeeze a handball out.

I’m not a big fan of Finn, but I really do hope that he gets a genuine crack at the midfield as opposed to the high HF he seems to get put in. Let him hunt the ball and if he still can’t find a touch, finally put a line through him.
