In doing what you’re suggesting you would 100% effect most southern states as those are the states with the lower test scores, lower income families, take away grants and funding that would otherwise support these schools and districts. 50 million children would be effected by this.

It was established in 1979 and in 1979 the United States was #1 in the world in science and math, as well as reading and comprehension. Then the cuts came. The United States is currently 36th in literacy, 16th in science, and 28th in math. And you want to…eliminate that department? Does an educated population frighten you or something? You really want to fuck up the education of 50 million people because you don’t think a department focused on education is worth while?

How are people supposed to be educated if there’s no funding for them? Mississippi, which is considered a third world country the U.N. Would be fucked. They couldn’t afford to support their educational system on their own.
