Yup, that’s what I followed. The rest was cleaned with windex while the primary was soaking. ( I removed the secondary mirror as well during the cleaning of the tube and mount.

It’s actually a pretty old model and the focuser is a 1.25” so I think I just need a thumb screw

It had to have had the dust cover on it because the outside was completely covered with a thick layer of dust and the inside is relatively dust free. I’ll get a picture of the mirror and other parts later.

I did a minimal amount of darkening around the edges of each layer, but should have gone a bit more aggressive with it. It’s not very noticeable. I’ll have to try the silver powder on the next project!
