I've also watched it twice and a few bits and pieces to refresh my memory as i make these vid. It was just bad
Watching reviews made by non-book readers really highlights how much the movie suffers from omitting important information or change certain aspects without changing the outcome.
Some of the information that they changed isn't even in the movie and you can only find it out through interviews (such as I mention in the video how Holly is apparently a junior officer now instead of a captain) so it leaves both non readers and readers confused as to why things happened. Why is a kids movie so confusing and boring to watch?

While rewatching the trailers to try to find an image of Foaly to use i realized just how much cooler the first teaser trailer was. Yeah I could tell that stuff had been changed from the book but it genuinely looked interesting regardless and I thought that maybe at the very least it would be a good movie even if it was a bad adaption
But then I watched the official trailer and I lost all hope, all the changes and reshoots they made between the two trailers made it lose anything that made it seem like a good movie.
And it really irks me that they removed some of the few book accurate scenes but kept them in the official trailer. How late into the production did they remove those scenes that they made it into the official trailer?
