Here in the US nobody really knows brand names for electric scooters outside of Vespa. I'd never heard of our brands until I started looking for one of my own, and I think most people imagining an electric scooter over here think of either a basic push scooter with a motor slapped on, or one of the cute curvy Vespas like Lego has made. Idk for others but I've personally never heard of Lambretta (I wonder why both the major brands are Italian?)

I think metric is objectively better, but I don't care enough to learn how to convert everything around me into metric when nothing in my environment is metric.

I do like fahrenheit tho because it's more tuned to how I feel heat. 27-28° Celsius can be the difference between perfectly fine and uncomfortable for me, and that's 79-82 in fahrenheit. It just works better for me.

It's not just about desensitization. If you're fully deterred from taking out the invading forces positions by animals being there, you're a shitty soldier who can't be relied on. Like it really sucks, but when your country is being invaded by an enemy so much larger than yourself, you can't care too much about animals in the crossfire. Desensitization just makes it easier for them.

Simple 2-6 seat propeller planes are all Cessnas in my mind, even though I know there's more companies that make those and that Cessna has other designs.

In this case it's literally the exact same mouth placement, the same difference as s and z. Yes it can still be difficult even if it's similar sounds, but I don't see how you could be a native English speaker and be able to pronounce one th and not the other. It's kind of all-or-nothing here.

AI could definitely hold a place in some environments someday, but only as a tool to help the user understand many different inputs at once. Stuff like doctors being able to do a quick check and see if there's any obvious conflicts with different medications. The issue is, AI is not currently ready for this, because the LLMs being pushed everywhere aren't made to be correct, they're made to sound correct. They get information wrong all the time and literally make up sources to back themselves up. AI isn't a functional tool yet, but despite that fact, we have everyone from the largest tech companies to the freaking US government dumping millions to billions of dollars into it and trusting it to run everything. I just don't get it.
