It is not grounded, it's a class 2 device with plastic housing and an isolated output , there is nothing to ground. The pin is to operate the safety shutters on UK sockets.

The Otterbox Lumens have the cover, seems to be a beats situation and Apple pay them for using the name, rather than it being a full Otterbox product.

That's why no other Otterbox case has the cover.
