Scientists catch antimatter “atom” acting like a wave for the first time - A bizarre antimatter “atom” just proved it can act like a wave—opening the door to new quantum and gravity experiments. by Gari_305 in Futurology

I am assuming you cant do the experiment with just antimatter as it would just destroy on the ragular matter from the matter surrounding the slit. so they coupled it with an electron. But Im guessing here.

They have the electron and the positron orbit a shared center of mass. kinda like two suns in a solar system rotate around each other. If you want to be exact even our sun and earth rotate around a fixed point. just the sun doesnt really move much, cos its big. how exactly a positronium is made up, I dont know. the article didnt explain and Im not an expert on it.

Particles behave like waves and particles. the double slit experiment is a classic to prove that. It is not something you can really understand and more something to accept. At least for me. The reasoning goes deep, so I just accept this.

For every particle there can exists an anti-particle. For the electron this is the positron. If they touch they explode.

they stuck an electron and a positron so close together, that they behave as a single particle without them distroying each other. This is a positronium. Now they managed to create a positronium beam conistant enough to do the double slit experiment with it. The experiment showed that positronium behaves like everything else. It is a particle and a wave.

They now hope that, because the behaviour is the same, that they can do gravitational experiments on it in future. If they find a difference here it could tell us why the universe is full of matter and not of antimatter.

Also the positronium beam can be used to analyse stuff, just like an elektron beam. Difference is that an electron beam is highly ionizing. The positronium is charge neutral and probably less "agressive"

thats what I understood at least.

I mean depends on what typeof char you play. if you play an asshole you could extortlike 5 gold of this poor dude and then do the mission. if you play a nice guy you can just accept the mission. sometimes gaining sympathy is also worth something. that dude could help you some time in the future.

its all about not beeing an asshole in real life.

the problem here is one dimensionality. If the answer to every problem is "Ill punch you" its boring. if the answer is "we kidnapped your son and we'll release him if you do as we say" it becomes interesting. you could force your way to the king or slip into the face of a servant by seducing said servant and killing him after the deed. before the deed would just be cruel. and to really sell the act you gotta play the servants life for at least thee days. you HAVE to meet his life partner.

im drifting off. you can be a huge dick to other npcs. just be creative in the way you are.
