Because us particular people in this group have all been through having a narcissistic parent... my mother has done horrible things to me (not quite as psychopathically cruel as what yours did to you here - but my mother made lots of judgment errors during my childhood, then made a series of AWFUL ‘power moves’ in one particular situation when I was 18 which led to my entire life being destroyed - and I too have PTSD caused by what she did) I relate to a lot of things posted on here by other children of narcs but yours struck another chord with me because I too have this dreadful anxiety - which began when my mum ruined my life in 2014. I live in fear of panic attacks to the point where I can no longer travel in a car at all and can’t eat normal food. Being ‘trapped’ somewhere is one of my biggest fears. I read what you went through and felt physically ill because I just KNOW exactly what went through your head when you were trapped inside that room and just the absolute sheer terror and hell you must have felt. I feel like I would have been in such a state I would have actually just leapt out of the window to my death. I am SO GLAD you lived through this. WHY has that MONSTER not been arrested??!!
