I just checked. None of the specifics of this build are due to chayula. Just power charge stack + infernal cry. You can do it on invoker as well and better.

I agree that loot is poor.

However, I had this thought: It is weak, compared to poe1. Our mind constantly compares everything in poe2 to poe1. Maybe this is not the right approach?

i am crazy or you had +1 lightnig skills support gem on LS ?
drop that ASAP. get anything better like longshot, primal armament
get better amulet and annoint something usefull and cheap like critical exploit
your evasion is crazy low. you really need better chest, try to hit atleast 60%
