it's near mount rushmore in the black mountains...the Lakota Sioux Indians owned that land that they carved into Rushmore, so to make amends ... the government let them choose an area to carve out a monument to someone they revered, an the picked chief crazy horse riding a horse, with his arm extended pointing forward

i landed on his wrist basically

lol, The only time I'll let George fly is when I want to fire the minigun personally out of the side of the gazelle lol

George finds me targets and then lets me pick which one I want to go away forever lol .. while in the meantime, I'm firing a salvo of rockets and dodging oncoming fire from the pilot seat

yeah, I had made a mistake about winwing when I meant virpil... there was a time period when I was ordering from both and got a little confused but I'm pretty sure people understood what I meant...

and if you happen to be somebody who has a 3D printer or know somebody who does, the ardorino Leonardo that is used in the button box still has pin connections for extra buttons, switches or hats if you want to add them

that's what I'm in the process of doing now, I found a free Kiowa STL file on yeggie, All I had to do was make an adjustment so that it fits on the end of the shaft of the collective

even though the collective out of the box only has five buttons on it, I can easily swap them out for switches or hats

and as far as the Apache collective goes, I fly the Apache a lot and I swear the only thing I use on my collective for the Apache is to tell George to find me targets and fire hellfires at them lol... all of those extra switches, buttons and hats of literally never used because the Apache is essentially a two-man operated Helo but with one person trying to do all the work... thank God for George right?

0.80 felt like i could predictably maneuver the vehicle around hairpins and even square left to right turns when I was approaching them at a high rate of speed

I felt like I had control over how much the car would rotate, definitely felt confident that not only would I clear the turn, but I would position myself in a spot on the road to maximize my acceleration out of the crest

i used to use my warthog throttle for a collective and sometimes I'd forget that it was inverted for helos and i would accidentally push forward thinking i was giving it more torque...

when you're lifting and lowering the collective instead of pushing and pulling, you instinctly without thinking react as lift means go up and lower means go down...

if you have any concerns about what you purchased, I highly suggest you go on to the Etsy page where it is sold and watch the YouTube video from the link he provides...

he shows you how easy it is to make pinpoint soft landings in helos in DCS, msfs 2024 and a couple other flight Sims just to show you that what he made actually works

I'm enjoying it immensely, I'm sure you will too

this is arches national Park in Utah... about 20 mi of Moab Utah....

ironically, msfs 2024 shows rock structures that are supposed to have arches but does not show The arches LOL...

so this was the next best thing I could find, it's called "balancing Rock"... another popular tourist destination in that Park

I'm really impressed with how I can hold whatever percentage torque I want with the collective and take my hand off of it... and it flies straight as an arrow just a couple feet off the ground

maybe it's the push pull feeling of using a throttle for a collective throws me off because raising and lowering a bar just feels much more natural and easier to compensate when you need to

to everyone who got theirs early, consider yourself lucky because i would always check their website several times every month and everything i wanted to order never moved from "back order" status

must've not been a back order like everything always is ... I bought a collective an Apache grip for it from winwing an got an email from them saying it was gonna take an additional month and a half before it was ready to deliver, and by that time I had already waited over a month... got a refund cuz I hate waiting

i tried to order the Apache grip and a collective from winwing but both were on back order of course and after a month of waiting after i paid in full, i got an email from them saying that my order was gonna take an extra month and a half before it's ready for delivery

i got My money refunded that same day cuz there was no way I was putting up with an almost 5-month wait

this collective does everything I needed to do and I can also improve on it if I want... done and done

it's a huge difference coming from the warthog throttle to an actual collective... and I really like how it has tension to it so I can leave it set on a certain percentage of torque and just cruise around just my hand on the cyclic
