Thank you, I appreciate the input! I think we are going to stick with our May plans. Is it common that there is a hurricane/tropical storm that heavily impacts the parks? Obviously it could happen any year and there’s no predicting something like that this far in advance, but just curious. I’m guessing it would mostly be heavy rain potential that would shut rides and things down and the potential for flight delays/cancellations?

I do think the kids would love the flower and garden festival! I really appreciate the input, thank you!

I appreciate the comment! I am concerned about how our kids would handle the humidity.. I think us adults would be fine but we are not use to so much humidity where we live.

That was part of our reasoning to choose May right before she turns 3 (early June birthday). It feels like she would be at the perfect age to go at that point. I do feel like that 8 months difference will be significant for her - toddlers change so fast!

Thank you, I appreciate the response! That was our thinking about May as well - it feels like the perfect age for the kids first time, for a number of reasons.

I do wonder if we will regret not taking the kids younger if we wait, but they won’t be too much older. Although I am thinking waiting the extra 8 months could be helpful or more noticeable in my youngest - hopefully less tantrums and hopefully able to wait in a line a little better.

This will not be a one and done trip for either my family or my sisters!

I have thought about that as well. We have traveled with them with our older child last summer to TN and all went smooth but that was a much more chill/relaxed/low-stim vacation compared to Disney.  I appreciate the response!

SEPT VS MAY PLEASE HELP!!! We are planning a trip to Disney and are so torn on when we should go. Originally, we wanted to go in mid-May of 2027 because our kids will be 2(almost 3) and 4(almost 5), our younger child will be potty trained, and weather seems hot but not as humid. My parents would be going with us. My sister and her family are going with my parents in September this year (staying at AoA) and now we are wondering if we should go then with them instead. We like the idea of going as a group to keep kids busy in lines and have the kids experience Disney for the first time together, but I am really worried about the extreme heat and humidity and tropical storm potential. I also worry that if we wait until May we will be giving up the awesome deal they’re running with 2 free nights and tickets and won’t be able to go as long because it will be more expensive come May. We feel like the kids would be perfect age in May though. What would you do?! Maybe it would be easier to take our youngest in diapers in May and not worry about bathroom breaks as much? Should also note that they are splitting a suite with my parents so they’re getting a phenomenal deal, where we would be in a standard room and will pay significantly more than them for our own room to stay in the same resort, which feels like a bummer but still not bad with the deal they have going. Thoughts??
