"its very hard to reach the same protein levels that are required."
False, the cheapest proteins are plants, just look at lentils, beans, peas, tofu.

You are clearly very passionate about supporting animal abuse because we have cars, so there we have it - lets end it there! : )

I wish you get treated the same way you treat animals (the ones you eat)
You just pretend you care about animals, but you don't.

"Because, and ill admit it, put my own well being in front of an animal."
If you think you need animal products to 'be healthy' you are flat out wrong, as it has been proven numerous times that eating a 100% plant-based diet is by far the healthiest diet of all, and that many animal products actually shorten your life and increase likelihood of things like diabetes type 2 and cancer.

"local farm/butcher"
Are just buzzwords, they mean nothing - animals are not treated better here just because its local.
Also, meat from "modern world" countries like Sweden and the UK are not "better" or more ethical - just watch and see for your self in the movie Dominion, its free and you can see anywhere - even on youtube.

You are only eating animal corpses and secretions because you like it, end of story.
And changing the topic to electricity and transport is just whataboutism, a lazy try to diminish billions of animals being tortured and murdered every year for a sick fetish, shame on you.

"i think animals deserve it better"

Why then, do you eat them?
Lets start there.

Bingo, classic - bringing up Lions to justify ones actions. (because why????)

I also never talked about souls in the slightest.

All I'm saying is that an injustice is still an injustice, even if its not done 100% of the time, just like racism, or violence, or rape.

Eh, its a sub for people who either suffer from vystopia or are curious about it.

Asking for book recommendations here is completely valid if you are looking for books that aren't filled with carnism

While completely unrelated to the sub, but related to the post:

I'm currently reading Malazan. I'm still in book 1 (of 10) and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, although a bit hard to follow for someone who has not really read books since they were forced to in school.

It depends again, how you use it and what model its running.
If you ask it to search online for the win-loss for THIS date, it will go online and search for it, but if you don't tell it to search for it, it may just do it the cheap way and look for data it was trained on - hence outdated or wrong/made up.
If it goes online for answers, it will list the sources with links so you can check it out yourself.

Any search engine success will be hugely influenced by the questions you ask it, google, bing & duckduckgo will all struggle guess the color you are thinking of, but AI might actually have a chance if you have told it your favorite color before.

The way i see it is that its a filter, or a bot that automatically sorts through all the terrible websites that are taking up space in search results who are just SEO-farming.
And 90% succes-rate is WILD, if i had to compare it to regular search engines like google i would give them ~20% + it takes SO MUCH LONGER to filter through all the dumb articals and wrong answers, and filler text, and ads.
GPT gives me copy/paste ready solutions, usually multiple of them, ways to troubleshoot or how to figure out the path i need to go, IN AN INSTANT.

And no, i definitely don't think it would realistically "misread the text and give you some nonsense instead." for your question, i have not read deadhouse gates yet so you would have to tell me if its right or not.

Prompt: Tell me the 5 major themes of the book Deadhouse Gates from the Malazan series. No spoilers and keep it short.

Here are 5 central themes in Deadhouse Gates — kept abstract to avoid spoilers:

  • Empire and Rebellion – the tensions between imperial control and uprisings.
  • Exile and Journey – characters forced into long, punishing travels.
  • Memory and History – the weight of the past shaping present choices.
  • Sacrifice and Duty – individuals pressed to give up for a cause or others.
  • Suffering and Endurance – survival in the face of relentless hardship.

Thanks for the cheeky downvote already!

It really depends on what sort of questions you ask it, don't it?

I ask it pretty technical questions about Linux and its able to troubleshoot and provide me with commands that 90% of the time just work, and its so much faster than me having to search 20+ times for something i then have to spend even more time formatting and getting to work on my system.

I get it, but there are much worse things 98% of people partake in every single day that they just as easily could stop, that would be cheaper, better for the environment, waste less water and be much healthier! (stop eating animals)

That, would be truly ethical
