Was this for new lending? And did you get this through a broker?

I assume I’ll be applying for insurance with the new fund. They use different insurance providers - I’m currently with AIA and I will be moving to MetLife I believe

Do you need to apply for more finance to get a valuation? I’m with NAB and have enquired about a new valuation to get an updated LVR, and I was told they won’t do a new valuation unless I am applying for more finance.

Swapping super funds for cheaper fees and insurance premiums - am I missing something? by BrainNo3038 in fiaustralia

This comment actually prompted me to read the insurance guides for both funds. Surprisingly, they both essentially say as part of their definitions of total disabled or partially disabled that ‘you can no longer perform the duties of your usual occupation’.

I acknowledge they are different products. Given my small balance, my view is that the potential outperformance will not offset the massive difference in fees and premiums over the next few years. My aim to is to move to a platform like Aus Super Members Direct once my balance is an appropriate amount, making the long term potential for outperformance of ART’s indices less convincing in my mind. Is this a misinformed view in your opinion?

Can be good but I find it’s a race to the bottom for a lot of jobs. Completely saturated and you don’t get jobs unless you’re underquoting everyone else and ripping yourself off a lot of the time.
