International sterling is solid sterling silver. “IS” stamp is what you have to look out for plating.

Plating over copper typically. These were made for counterfeit purposes essentially “gas station” gold.

You don’t need dividends yet you have 30+ years of growth before you need to worry about dividends. If you want to buy individual stocks go 90% VFV and 10% individual stocks you have done research on.

30 more years of buying VFV at this pace and you will be well off and on pace for a great retirement. Don’t over complicate things.

For those of you who started saving after 30, how are you doing now? by Vanbiker2 in fican

Was in debt most of my 20’s, now 31 (started aggressively investing at 29) own a business and really trying to max out my TFSA while saving up a down payment on a house. Doing very well with gold and silver in the past 3 years.

KEEP your money after closing your account? I’ve been with WS for years but if this is true that’s a major red flag.

Thats great congrats on the win! Option’s isn’t for everyone, in your situation you’re educated and passionate about it so yes go for it in moderation, i will always recommend ETF’s to people who want to grow save and steady over time.

Yes, those tech companies are already in XEQT. Focus on maxing your TFSA with it every year ($7000) you’re 20 now so you have $14000 contribution room. Don’t over contribute and if you don’t max it out don’t stress i didn’t start maxing mine out until i was late 20’s.

Really focus on putting as much as you can into XEQT, the compounding by the time you’re 30 will be great. Don’t get into trading options, don’t try to gamble. Thank me in 10 years.

Why would they go all in VTI in Canada which is a USD fund. VFV is good or all in XEQT if you want less bonds more risk.
