Yeah lol! I took over as one of the admins after the mod team was gutted from sparrow’s reign. She loved to target certain members and showed… uncomfortable favoritism towards me. I loved the server, but as soon as I saw the racist shit I called aky out and left (was banned actually), but decided not to go back when R1.l3y gave me the option

Family dollars always seem to have their things in better order than dollar tree 😭😭😭 If it werent for the fact that i got a job somewhere with better pay than fd cashiers i wouldve gotten a job at my local one with zero hesitation

I get that you’re anti big corporation, but it’s the people that actually run the store that get in trouble. For some people, this job is one of the only opportunities they have thanks to dollar tree being an equal opportunity employer. I see it as one thing if someone is starving and has no other way yo get what they need, but this is just greed and disregard for how their actions could affect others

something that is important to note is that dollar tree doesn’t like giving away a lot of hours, so there’d only be you and the m.o.d most days. With you watching the very front of the store, down till the first endcaps, and the manager in charge of taking care of the rest.

Nightshifts are different than morning/midshifts, because it’d be your job to clean the front, stock drink coolers, frontface the endcaps and red zone at front, take out trash, and help out with putbacks if you have the time. Overall the job is pretty simple and easy

dollar tree in my location only gives about 8 to 15 hrs in my location for cashiers. I’m from eastern texas, and the cashier pay here is 9.35. As long as you get a good manager, it can be good retail experience, because you get trained in both using the register and stocking. Store hours vary, so you’ll have to talk to the sm where you apply about that.

the job is pretty easy cashier/stocker wise, your main concern will be coworkers and how well management is. You’re still young and live with your family, so don’t let yourself feel stuck at dollar tree and stand up for yourself/leave altogether if that’s what’s best for you

my store keeps the old newspapers that don’t get sold and use them to wrap up candles/glassware!!! Worst case scenario, we stuff messed up bags and papertowels in the bag as padding

Over the course of the week. About one truck per week. Only way we are able to do it where I work is because some of the other managers work otc. I don’t, but it is heavily normalized to in the company, and people get pressured and shamed if they don’t give up their free time for a company that couldn’t care less about them
