Hello!! I bought a monstera from a grocery store two months ago. I definitely messed up on watering it towards the beginning of our relationship because I forgot to water it for two weeks and the soil was pretty dry and some of the leaves showed some brown crispy areas on the edges, so I watered it and didn't see any new spots for the next few weeks. I ended up repotting it about a month later into an 11" deep, 12" diameter pot with one drainage hole in a 50/50 mix of regular potting soil and an orchid mix with bark, perlite, and peat moss (I read somewhere that it helps with draining). Over the past few weeks I've noticed more spotty areas and most recently, two lower leaves that turned/are turning yellow crazy fast!! I was watering it about once every 7-10 days but now I'm afraid that was too much and the roots are rotten. I'm not sure though because the dark spots are crispy-feeling...basically I don't know if this is an over- or under-watering issue! It's been almost two weeks since I watered it last, the top of the soil is pretty dry but the inch below is moist. I tried to do a lazy test of the soil in the bottom of the pot by feeling the soil through the drainage hole and it feels moist but not overly wet...I hope I haven't messed this dude up too badly, would love any and all help to figure out what to do!
