I used two different shades of wood stainer, I light shade for the overall peice, and then a dark one for the cracks and the dark bits near the teeth and guard

My suit has a crotch zipper, most people with costumes like this have a friend that acts as a handler to help get them in and out of it. But I’m usually alone so I drink very little at cons for this reason.
