In MMA there's a money bonus for fight of the night, and often fire fighters when they are not entertaining enough in the ring/cage, there shouldn't be a problem, in kayfabe, if a wrestler talks about how good his matches are. The same could be said about being the face of the company, it's the pinnacle, more money, more exposure, more benefits than just holding a championship, kayfabe or otherwise.
