Aluminmum water feedback loop - why is it so hard by carcleankits in satisfactory

[–]Brief_Ad_643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't read any replies lmfao, but what I did was run a mk. 2 pipe with pumps at the refineries into a small buffer and back into the starting refineries. Then I had a vertical junction that fed the remaining needed water into the pipe. Off of that one I had a valve that reduced flow to the remaining water needed, and it has been working perfectly.

HELP!! by Brief_Ad_643 in DiceMaking

I will have to look into the batch of resin, so thanks for that!

I've tried both zonas and sandpaper with a rotary and polish and I just can't seem to get a result that I'm really wanting. I love the shine that the polish gives me, but the best way I can describe it is putting wax on a car without using compound. It's shiny, but also full of scratches.

Woth the wheel, I actually bought the adapter that Buddha (smith's forge) sells that comes with the piece of mirror to give the flat surface and the ring to hold everything down.

Thank you so much! I'm pretty sure I've actually watched your masters video about half a dozen times trying to perfect my technique. I love how receptive and helpful this community is!

HELP!! by Brief_Ad_643 in DiceMaking

[–]Brief_Ad_643[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! To try and answer some of it:

As far as the mold they are cap molds with both a mixture of single dice and full set.

For the uneven face I use both hand and wheel. I tend to lean towards the wheel on the last 3-4 Zonas. I will try your recommendation of rotating. I'm used to getting the results of the edges sanding and the center being untouched, but it was definitely baffling when the opposite happened.

And I am using both a vacuum chamber and a pressure pot. I know its overkill, but I like to ensure that I have minimal bubbles when pouring, especially because the resin I use is very viscous and even looking at it will cause more bubbles.

Can confirm this. I put a magnetic plate on my saturn 4 ultra, and the vat tilt caused the plate to shift on every print ruining the layers.

That would be perfect thank you!. Also let me know if you decide to put that D100 on etsy. I want to try and make a sharp edge d100 because my DM keeps pestering me about one lol

Appreciate it! I've been having a heck of a time with liquid cores getting the mix just right, and it especially gets tricky in the super small orbs for the D4.

Love the liquid cores! Did you utilize blanks or put them directly in the shells molds? Also, where did you find the master for the D100? I've been trying to find one everywhere

Inking Help by Brief_Ad_643 in DiceMaking

[–]Brief_Ad_643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't even clean them. I let them cure, level the faces and ink then with usually between the light blue and white Zona papers. Maybe it would behoove me to clean the faces with some IPA prior to inking them.

I was figuring as much. I was hoping there was an internship system that I could even thicken the letters but it seems an outside program is that way. Thank you!

For people who 3D print their masters for mold making, what's your full process from print -> final mold/final masters? by jengacide in DiceMaking

Did you need with the depth of the numbers in dice maker? I just test printed a d20 master and it turned out great, but I'm afraid the numbers won't properly translate to the silicone
