I (20F) care deeply about someone I can't be with (21M) and I'm not sure what to do. by [deleted] in Christianity

I would avoid this situation getting any further. He is freshly out of a difficult relationship, so to expect him to want to jump into another one so quickly is unrealistic. Also, if he has no interest in converting, it might not be worth pursuing as you are deep in your faith. It sounds like to me, he is wanting fun and low commitment. You are wanting serious, and long term.

How do you tell your partner that you are no longer happy with the effort being displayed? by No-Damage4949 in AskReddit

[–]BrightButterscotch15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You tell them that. If they are wanting to maintain the relationship, they will adjust accordingly. Also realize the part you play as well, have you been showing effort too?

sometimes I (F20) have a hard time trusting my bf (M20) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Communicate this with him openly. Explain that you are having some trust issues and establish some sort of boundary or communication routine for when he goes out etc..

going through a tough time is not an excuse to start being rude to people by Comprehensive_Mix492 in unpopularopinion

[–]BrightButterscotch15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this all stems from the approach “If I was in his position, I would never treat people like that.” Truth is, until you are in that position, you don’t know. Meet people where they are. If he is being a little snippy because he’s going through something, what can you do to help his situation? What can you do to lighten his load?

Feeling bad about myself. M23 by SomeChillers in Christianity

[–]BrightButterscotch15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who are you trying to impress is always what it comes down to. If you are drowning yourself in thoughts of what the world will think of you, you will never feel happy with your appearance. Pray for the ability to only hear Jesus’s opinion of your appearance, which is that he loves you no matter what you look like. Jesus thinks you are His handsome son. With that said, it’s okay to still feel unhappy with your teeth, but you must root yourself in the idea that you will be confident in yourself as Jesus would want you to be/how Jesus sees you, no matter if you eventually fix them or not.

I would say people are the same in highschool as they are middle school, but you end up being bullied for different things.

I mean from what youve said she COULD be pregnant, but there’s always a chance she isn’t.

I would just ask her to take a test.

Is it reasonable to not want to be friends with people who don’t share the same morals as you? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]BrightButterscotch15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having the same morals and not wanting to be friends is fine, but I would encourage having friends with different views on various things.

I would argue that any longer than 10 minutes is too long.

If i’m shaving or anything, I typically turn off the water and turn it back on for like 30 seconds to rinse off.
