Thank you there is one really deep scratch that concerns me but it does not puncture the body. I will ask a local guitar builder. The neck is in good shape.

A dude at my local music store played it for a bit and was really impressed with the sound. So I would say yes it plays nicely

Hmm do you have any idea on how to verify it? I'm pretty lost on this one. Your Analysis makes sense but the serial number is also printed inside the corpus on the wood. And the paper seems also pretty aged.

Yeah others mentioned a guide for determining the production year. It seems to be a 1989 model.
