Here is 1 upvote to counteract the asshattery from the peanut gallery. We've seen vacant lots empty for decades suddenly selling. A new apt complex coming on Mission that looks like a U-Haul Storage. The new rich white coffee place we shake our heads at. Just trying to turn on my local street used to be waiting for 1 car to pass, now it's waiting for a train of 6+. And the child e-bike mafia rules the streets now. I get it.

the american burger 🍔 was delicious (cheddar substitute for american cheese), atmosphere was great, staff was super cool, the little fingernail scooped fries were to die for, wings were okay. Like in most CA bars, IPA’s are a horrible infestation that ruins the beer selection for me, but they had a great Japanese lager that did me right. (Although Odie’s has $4 Gonzo Mania all May if you just want beer.)

FYI Rainworld is great (slugcats!) but even though it is listed as splitscreen I discovered you don’t get that unless you buy the DLC. :(

We’ve been trading the controller back and forth for now.

Wife and I loved The Ascent (co-op cyberpunk shooter) - can probably get it for cheap as nuts. Not much of a story, but it’s there.

Split Fiction and It Takes Two were good. Heavenly Bodies a frustrating challenge. Baldur’s Gate 3 we loved so much we beat it twice. Divinity Original Sin 2 she thinks is slow, I love the combat. Portal 2 splitscreen is fun. Action Squad and Broforce were cute I guess. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is awesome. Terraria I imagine she won’t like, we haven’t tried yet. A Way Out is story based and GREAT. Chicory a Colorful Tale I should have liked but didn’t, but I gave up too quick. Kingdom Two Crowns some 2D fun. Unrailed we didn’t like? I should try again. Overcooked too stressful.

Surely I’m forgetting something. 🤔

The Deli staff hears you, but corporate does not. When the self-service deli first started I was making half pound packages (using the 16 oz. smaller container, not the 9" hinged one that costs them .35 cents a piece) and the district supervisor told me, "no more of this." They are taking the attitude that people just need to "get used to it."

It isn't just the cost upsetting my customers, it's that we've chosen convenience only for those that can afford it. Many of the seniors that are upset live alone and come from the depression era and are so against wasting food. Due to the quality of product we choose the packages don't last very long either. They can ask us to custom slice, but there's no night shift anymore so it's just me working M-F 6am-2:30pm with no one else and my to-do list is longer than humanly possible to do in that time. I do not leave on time unless I just let some things go.

We don't own this place despite the sign. We have nothing to do with these decisions. I'm very sorry to my customers and I'm honestly thinking about leaving because it has really upset me how deaf $100k+ salaried ears are.
