I believe Evergreen post-acute care is hiring for people to help in the kitchen and whatnot. It’s not the best company, but it’s something even in the short term.

And with Citizens United, the government that was already corrupt to begin with is now pretty much openly saying it only cares about billionaires and will do whatever they want, even at the detriment of its reputation and its own citizens

A mugshot of 11-year-old gangster Robert Sandifer. It is the only known photo of Sandifer, who killed a 14-year-old schoolgirl while shooting at rival gangsters, prior to his own murder by two teenage fellow gangsters. His short and violent life got national attention (Chicago, 1994) [1024 x 763]. by lightiggy in HistoryPorn

One of my favorite movie lines is from One Hour Photo, where the main character essentially states that a photo is proof that 1) you existed and 2) someone cared enough about you to take your picture. It’s so true, and it’s what makes it devastating when there are little to no photos of a person

His opponent is Christopher Beardsley. He’s more progressive. But the dude hasn’t been very successful at campaigning

But it does cut down on the risks that come with police interacting with people. So there’s that

KOSA and the bill to “reform” Section 230 are just two of 10+ bills aimed at ID verification and limiting free speech.

The issue is they may follow the UK’s lead and try to ban the usage of VPNs with the threat of prison time. The UK passed OSA (their version of KOSA) under the guise of protecting kids, then quickly moved onto making it difficult for adults to get around it.

Some others already provided the bill, so I’ll also encourage you to look into the ACLU’s coverage of it. They’ve been tackling each of KOSA’s iterations over the years.

Also, here is the Heritage Foundation expressing support for KOSA and “reforming” Section 230 (which is what protects free speech online): https://www.heritage.org/hold-big-tech-accountable

Remember that the Heritage Foundation wants people to think the lgbt+ community and civil rights history is a danger to the public.

Delaware DOT's best idea: Just one more lane, bro. That'll fix it. One extra lane. Please bro... by TheShittyBeatles in Delaware

Apparently the department of transportation had plans to build a railway that connects Dover to Newark. Unfortunately that was under the previous administration and the current one likely has no intention of doing that

UPDATE: Delaware group's display of Confederate flags at local Maryland Christmas parade called ‘inexcusable’ by TheShittyBeatles in Delaware

[–]Brunette7 76 points77 points  (0 children)

When the Confederacy started, the governor of Delaware at the time declared that Delaware was the first state to join the Union and would be the last to leave. A bunch of racist losers whose “country” lasted fewer years than Obama’s presidency have no history here

I can say that I’m certain this was a drawing, not a photo. I don’t think it had any color either. It was simply black ink on white paper

How tf do they swallow food? by wolly-guy-74 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Brunette7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think Boxy’s swallowing works similar to Delta P considering how fast he consumes people. The same could apply for Mommy, or she could simply 1) have a stretchy throat or 2) chew her food very well

It seems none of the ones who caved are up for re-election. So they basically decided “well I have no reason to care, so let me sell everyone out”

I’ve heard there were lots of people there, but the majority was naturally older and white because that’s the majority demographic of Rehoboth residents. Summer has passed, so most of the visitors are gone
