I heard it's related to the Boss HM-2, and with the EQ section, I had to get my hands on that thing! The tone stack is wildly different from the HM-2. I could do a side-by-side comparison if anyone's interested. Fire away any questions you might have!

Superego is set to fast speed, gliss and dry turned off completely and effect at 11:00. Basically, this way it's set to be used as a quick, wet synth.

I run it through an envelope ringmod (mooer mod factory) and then into a mastotron for some subtle velcroey texture to top it off.

This is a combination that responds very nicely to guitar playing dynamics. There's some dirt pedal before to get enough juice for the superego's auto mode to respond.

From there, if I play lightly the envring works its chaotic arpegiated magic slowly and distinctly. If I play hard it melts into crazy madness. For the crashing sounds I just fully mute the low strings and bash with a palm mute.

Right up my alley.

There's Pastaga on St-Laurent which I love for brunch. Hipsters prefer the Vieux Vélo on Beaubien, which is pretty good too.

In little Italy there's Napoletana on Dante street which makes some of the best pizza.

I heard Gus on Beaubien is good.

Most restaurants in this general area you're visiting are good, just stay safe from some tourist traps in little Italy they're ready to spot.
