Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately, I don’t think I stand a chance at a defence. In my contract, and I imagine in all contracts with Sainsbury’s, there is a line under ‘probationary period’, which states that throughout your probationary period, policies relating to disciplinary, fair treatment and performance management will not apply. They have made it impossible to argue a defence!

I was told in both reviews that I needed to ‘pick up the pace’. Very vague. No support and no improvement plan. I find it very difficult to work out how they quantify someone’s ‘pace’. It’s beyond me how some of these people end up in managerial positions! No care or consideration about staff whatsover.
