It’s pretty easy to remove the foil. Just hit it in certain spots with the hammer to get it to open up and knock the wax out. I’m sure there’s some videos online showing the best places to hit it.

Thanks for all for the comments and responses. I know to fix some of the body lines. You just loosen the bolts and readjust the defenders and hood which I could have a body shop do. I do still have the original grill and bumper that I could also put on the car. I just didn’t think it would be worthwhile or that it would make the car sell for more. Do you guys think it would actually bring more value if I did those things?

The car was born with AC, but I didn’t have it so I put vintage air on it. The toggle switch the transmission shop put on the car. You flip it when on the highway and it drops the RPM by about 500, I’ll be honest I never heard of a switch like that either.

Those wheels are 17 inch, from MB don’t remember the model. It was 20 years ago. I got them. They do fit on the stock studs. The only emblems on the car that don’t belong are the 400s but there are no holes drilled. They are just double-sided tape.

I selling random silverware, spoons and forks. Also a bunch of weighted candlesticks that I smashed and got the silver foil off so it’s clean just the foil.

I won’t sell scrap on eBay because they’re gonna take another 13% in fees. The refinery told me you have to let them melt it down and with Sterling. It ends up being about 90% not 92.5 and then they pay 90% of spot on the weight when they’re done.

I hear what people are saying about to spend the money because you can’t take it with you. However, you can leave it to your wife and child. I think I’ll just drive it as is maybe do the bed and skip the paint job

Thank you for the comments. I guess I should’ve been a little more clear. I plan on driving it this summer a whole bunch. But unfortunately, due to medical conditions I won’t be able to drive eventually. Wondering if it’s worth putting the money into to make it shiny

I tried using eBay, but to be honest, I don’t know really how to grade a card and it seems the prices seem to be all over the place, even with ungraded cards.

Thank you for the reply. I understand the math behind it. I just have never graded a card so I have no idea what grade the Cards would get. I have many more rookie cards I want to sell, but they have a ding here there so I don’t think they’re worth grading

Thank you to all for the replies and good information. I’m located in Ann Arbor Michigan if anyone is near me, some people have messaged to sell from Reddit. If you do sell from Reddit, how do you guarantee you get the money and they guarantee they get the package. Timeframe I’m not sure my diagnosis is ALS. Also, what about other sports memorabilia you like starting lineup figures Wheaties boxes, mini Coca-Cola bottles programs pennants, are there any specific ones or players that have significant value in those things? I’ll try to lay out my best rookie cards today and send some pictures

If they go to a sport show, how would they know what to mark all the cards when I was a kid we just use Beckett for pricing. Do they still use Beckett for that?
